Do you believe in Hell? - stemming from Ann's post

I'll withhold my reasons because I don't want to start a debate, I think this is a touchier subject than believing in Heaven.

luvbug00 replied: I believe there is a hell. IMO it's somplace for those who do harm to others on earth, not nessisarly those who "sin". ( as in like rapists, murders and such will go ) .. i don't believe you will go to hell for not being baptized or not following the 9 other 10 commandments or any small offence..( or else I'd be going )

kit_kats_mom replied: Nope. Again, I believe that hell is the mental torment and anguish that one puts him/herself through as a direct result of practicing bad behaviours.

Murders may not show any regret but honestly, can you imagine living withthe fact that you killed another human being? The dreams you'd have? I get myself tied up into knots when I do something on accident, like when I wrecked my mom's car as a teen. I couldn't eat, sleep anything. I think that is hell.

My2Beauties replied: I am so back and forth on religious issues. I mean I guess in a sense I do, but not the fiery place with the horned devil and eternal suffering all that stuff - I think it's a mindset and that you can live in hell on earth! I don't want to get too into detail on this subject though.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I do believe in Hell as an actual place. I believe that it is the worst place imaginable. Eternal seperation from not only God but also from any love or peace.

my2monkeyboys replied: ITA with luvmykids. Without God I don't imagine there being any peace or comfort in any way. I believe Hell is simply being separated from God. As to fire and that kind of thing, I can not say whether that is literal or not. I don't really care I guess either so long as I'm not going.
