Do you buy cereal with - alot of sugar.

I rarely buy fruit loop type cereals.....usually if I do...its for a snack item, not breakfast. I usually poor them into a baggy and they eat them watching tv or something.
sparkys2boys replied: Onve a month I allow the kids to pick a box of what ever they want and when its gone its gone. They tend to snack on it alot as well or have it for a bedtime snack with milk.
My3LilMonkeys replied: We mostly have Chex, Cheerios, or Kix for the kids to eat daily, with Cinnamon Toast Crunch once in a while. They almost always eat their cereal as snacks, though - they eat frozen waffles for breakfast every day.
When I decide to eat cereal, it's Frosted Flakes. I hide them so no one else eats them.
abunky replied: we have life , cheerios , frosted cheerios ,kix , for the kids , and when there not whatching i have a bowl of lucky charms , coco puffs LOL
stella6979 replied: DH can't live without his Cap'n Crunch, but Avery and I eat Honey Nut Cherrios.
Brias3 replied: I rarely buy sugary cereals but like others, when I do, its for a snack or a treat.
When the kids eat cereal for breakfast, its typically Cheerios, Life, Rice Krispies or Chex of some variety.
CantWait replied: Every three or four months I'll buy a sugar cereal, which when they eat, they also have to have a yogart or a fruit etc with.
Mostly we eat a lot of cherrios, Special K vanilla almond, and rice krispies.
Calimama replied: Nope. We eat granola with fruit in it. The fruit gives it natural sugar.
luvmykids replied: No. Once in awhile, like for breakfast on their birthday or something I'll let them, but other than that it's a snack, not for breakfast.
PrairieMom replied: I was surprised by how much sugar is actually in some of the cereals that I thought were okay. I have a stash of captin crunch hiding where the kids can't find it, but For the kids I buy cereal from the organic section of our store, they get regular "cheerios" what ever the brand calls them.
momofone replied: Honeynut Cheerios were a big hit here for awhile.
A&A'smommy replied: not usually but dh does.. about the only time i let her have stuff like that is for treats or if she has been sick and she has gotten better but still needing to rest, its our "comfort" food
Cherrios is our usually breakfast food
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We have cheerios or rice crispies for the kids. I eat shredded wheat or organic kamut flakes with flax seed. All cereals have some sugar in them.
bawoodsmall replied: Bad mom here! Emily eats marshmallow cereal. However I do check the ingredients and a lot of the others that I thought would be ok arent. If I dont have the marshmallow cereal then she will eat a waffle or pancakes. I have been trying to actually make breakfast in the morning for them
MoonMama replied: Same here....But for breakfast we also eat a lot of yogurt, fruit, smoothies, etc.
We don't do sugar, soda, junk at all in our house.
Hmm maybe thats why you and I get along so well Denise. We seem to be a lot a like.
Calimama replied: I know!! Even our DH's are similar.
MoonMama replied: Scary isn't it!
Cece00 replied: I have healthy cereal & sugary cereal. My kids enjoy all kinds, and so do DH and I.
MotherForever2043 replied: We usually have Huney Bunches of Oats, Corn Flakes, Cherios (honey not sometimes), and Esther secretly buys Coco Puffs and hides them in her room. like I don't notice, when I'm doing the laundry..please!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I do have captian crunch in the house but it is actually for DH! Taylor likes chex or rice crispies
luvbug00 replied: we don't eat cereal just oatmeal, but when we do get it on rare ocation it's cinnimon tost crunch or frosted flakes that we eat
AlexsPajamaMama replied: We get sugary cereal on a rare occasion its mostly when dh picks it out....I usually get Life with the yogurt clusters...or cheerios. Alex doesnt really like cereal for breakfast he'd rather have a bowl of dry cheerios for snack. He eats oatmeal alot or french toast sticks.
jem0622 replied: I am like you too. I do keep instant oatmeal around. They make very few flavors with reduced sugar. Wouldn't it be nice if they made it sugar free? All flavors? Why not, right?
