Do you have a "selfish" dream item?

MoonMama wrote: DH and I were watching something on TV a little bit ago and the girl on the show mentioned owning TEN Louie Vuitton bags. ohmy.gif Say what?!? Anyway I casually mentioned how I'd LOVE t own ONE. blush.gif A Louie Vuitton bag has always been my dream item. cool.gif Alec immediately says...that is so selfish I can't believe you'd say that, do you know what that money could go towards instead. blink.gif DUH! That's why its a "dream" item, emlaugh.gif and I know dang well I'll never own one. rolleyes.gif Now he was only joking and I have a far better chance of owning a LV bag then he does owning his dream item a Ferrari. tongue.gif

But it got me thinking what is your dream item to own?

amynicole21 replied: Not really an item, but my dream is to get a tummy tuck and boob lift. rolleyes.gif

cameragirl21 replied: i have 1 Louis Vuitton, 2 Fendis and 1 Gucci as far as handbags go, a Gucci watch and Gucci sunglasses blush.gif so your DH probably wouldn't think too highly of me.
as for dream items, i'd love an Acura NSX and a house in the Hamptons or Star Island.... a girl can dream. wink.gif happy.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: I'd love an RV so we could see the country but I don't really think that's selfish since it involves my family. smile.gif Hmmmmm, not into bags or shoes....I guess nothing. I really would love plastic surgery and lipo but I'm too chicken to actually go under for cosmetic reasons. Now, if I ever have to go under for any other reason and I can talk my Dr. into "fixing" the parts I don't like then yeah, in a heartbeat rolling_smile.gif

Ohhh...just thought of one. A weekly massage. That would be lovely.

Calimama replied: I have a Louis Vuitton piece of luggage... that I never use. blush.gif Mine is: I want a puppy sooo bad. sad.gif

Cece00 replied:
I would like plastic surgery, probably to the tune of about $30k+, but I do eventually plan on getting that. I want a boob job, tummy tuck, and lipo. Its not 100% "luxury" because my mom had breast cancer & I am going to be tested for the gene, and I'm having my boobs removed & rebuilt whether or not I carry the gene. I will do anything to lessen my risk of breast cancer, esp since cancer runs in my family big time, esp female cancers (uterine, ovarian, breast, cervical). I figure if I'm having a boob job, I may as well get it all done @ once.

Otherwise...maybe a sports car, that I would only drive when I didnt have the kids. I like my van, but its so...momish (is that a word?? rolling_smile.gif ) and I'd like a cuter car to drive around when I wasnt with my kiddos...I'll probably get one when my kids are grown.

boyohboyohboy replied: if I had the money for plastic surgery then I would do it, but it would have to be the last thing we ever needed...meaning everyone else would have to have what they needed first, and I would do it simply for me...

Crystalina replied:
This question made me think that I have absolutely no dream item until I saw this post. I'm with you on the boob job. Yep, that's mine.

I owned a Gucci bag. My aunt got one for me and then I realized that it was the most God awful looking bag I've ever seen. emlaugh.gif My sister asked what I was going to do with it and I said that I would probably put it in a yard sale (she didn't want it either). I don't care about the name. For me it's if I like the look of it. I also don't like lables all over my stuff. I'm not saying that whoever likes them is wrong by any means. To each his own I say. I ended up giving it to my neice to play with. To me an item is only worth something if it's worth something to the person who has it. So to me that bag wasn't worth anything. Now the boob job is a differant story. happy.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I would love to own something Gucci or Louie Vuitton... a pair of shoes would be GREAT!! tongue.gif

I PLAN on getting boob job and tummy tuck whenever I decide I'm done having children!! tongue.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: Just a really nice house...with a paid mortgage! biggrin.gif

lovemy2 replied: HMMM, bad to admit this but I actually have THREE - but one is for DH...I would LOVE a three season room on my house, a nice new camper big enough to have a place to hang out when it rains, etc. but small enough to tow around and a nice brand new 4 wheel drive truck for DH (and to pull the camper with) rolling_smile.gif

MoonMama replied:
rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

moped replied: My dream item is a coach bag.........

moped replied: And a boob job and a granite dark cherry wood kitchen!

tongue.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Ooooo I'm with you on the KITCHEN Jen!!! Mine is probably a new home, one with a huge kitchen with granite countertops, dark cherry cabinets and a BIG Vicking stove!!! Oh and a master bedroom suite with a big big jacuzzi jet tub! YEP, that's mine! I also would like to travel, so tickets to far away places is my ultimate dream!

lisar replied: I would like 2 more 4-wheelers one 4x4 model and one more probably the 2007 Raptor. Its faster than mine. sad.gif I will get them one day. I also want an entire new set of gear. I want a new helmet but the one I want is $700.00 so that is definatly a dream item cause I wont pay that.

MoonMama replied:
My kind of girl! thumb.gif rolling_smile.gif

MoonMama replied: Oh can I add a housekeeper and cook to my list too? emlaugh.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
You read my mind, girl! This is my dream. cool.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Come see me this summer and we'll go to the Coach outlet. biggrin.gif

Danalana replied: A white tiger
A black panther
A lion
A dolphin
A llama
An alpaca

I guess I could have an endless list...but, more than material things, I would love to travel the world. I know people have said that and it sounds so cliche, but I'm serious. I have such a passion for travelling. I'm always telling Richard a place that I want to go. My dream would be to just travel forever...maybe have a house on each coast...probably North Carolina or one of the New England states in the east. Probably San Diego in the west. Then 1 in Montana. THEN, I would have houses in other countries...I would LOVE to go to Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Guatemala, Scotland, Ireland, Greenland, Italy (Tuscany, especially), Greece, and the list goes on. I've been to Mexico, Jamaica, and the British West Indies. *sigh* It makes me want to cry when i think of all the places i so desperately want to visit, because I know I probably won't go to many of them. I married a good ol' boy from Alabama who doesn't have so much of a heart for travelling. He wants to be here on OUR land that WE bought....near his brother and our church (I love our church too, but we can always come visit laugh.gif ). My family isn't close, so I don't feel like I have anything holding me here. So, if I can't travel the world, I will settle for the above named items tongue.gif

luvmykids replied:
For some reason Jenn I would have pictured you already having one!

I don't know what mine would be.....maybe a condo in Palm Springs or something? Or maybe a really nice horse trailer with living quarters? I may have to think about it for a little bit.

ZandersMama replied: BOOBS! and a new home, with a big backyard, pool, jacuzzi, big playground for the kids.......sigh.

Anyone notice alot of us want boobs ? rolling_smile.gif blush.gif

MoonMama replied:
emlaugh.gif That is one thing I don't need! wacko.gif I hate mine I would love reduction though. emlaugh.gif

msoulz replied: OH yeah - a late 1960's Mustang, either a fastback or convertible. Heck, why not one of each??? We're dreaming here! thumb.gif

I gave up my 1989 mustang convertible when the boy came along. It was a very good trade-off, but now he would like a convertible too! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. rolling_smile.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: A 4 bedroom house with a big kitchen, a finished basement/game room for DH, a big jacuzzi tub in the master bath, a nice large flat backyard with a fenced in inground pool and a back deck, with a big 2 car garage.....all paid for.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I have some Ferragamo shoes, I have a couple Chanel suits, I bought dh a couple Armani suits last year. I used to have a couple items of Gucci jewellery, if you want to call it jewellery. I don't care much for labels, either, I'm actually more thrilled when I get a pair of jeans at 2$ at our local thrift shop than paying 150$ for a brand name. blush.gif rolling_smile.gif

My dream item isn't so much of an item as a lifestyle. I'd love to live on a farm, raise my own animals, grow my own food, homeschool, have a big family, make my own clothes etc... much the life of the Amish I suppose. Well, Amish with the internet. emlaugh.gif

HuskerMom replied:
That's a good one! My dream item is a 1978 Trans Am, that looks like the Bandit's. Then Dh could make it fast! Then I'd want Dh to fix up his GTO like he's always wanted smile.gif And a go-cart for Keith blush.gif

moped replied:
Oooooh now I have something to live up to. Actually Monica, I am all about a good fake, I should make a serious hobby out of it becuse I can smell a good fake from a bad fake in a second!!!! I have many good fakes......Prada, Louis, Coach but I have no authentic ones!

My first stop in Vegas is the Coach Outlet and I will buy one and you guys will be the first to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

moped replied:
Oh yeah - and one of those gourmet kitchens that you hang your pots from.......SWEET!
I have a lovely home, but the one thing I wish I didn't have was white cabinets and baseboards. I dram of the dark cherry wood, stainless steel appliances etc

Nina J replied: I want to spend a year living in a different country. So, for one year I'd live in Germany, the next year I'd live in the Netherlands, the next year I'd live in Poland, etc, etc.

PrairieMom replied: I would love to have my lasic surgery on my eyes. No more glasses or contacts!

Nina J replied: Now that you mention that, Tara, I wouldn't mind laser eye surgery too. I'm to afraid to get it though, what if something went wrong? But I'd love to have good vision, unless I have my glasses or contacts on, I can't even make out a persons facial features unless they're right in front of me.
