Do you like NASCAR?

amynicole21 wrote: It's such a waste - I live 30min away from Daytona - the land of NASCAR - and just got offered free pit passes from one of my vendors to meet the drivers at the huge race here in July, and I despise NASCAR! laugh.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: I do not make a point to watch it, but I am not opposed to it.
I did once (way before having kids) watch the Brickyard 400 it its entirety, so I feel a slight kinship to that, only because I have a minimal attention span, and I was proud to sit through something without changing the channel. blush.gif

Mom2BNTN replied: Well, I don't hate NASCAR! Truth be told I only watch nascar for the car wrecks. I don't want anyone to get hurt, but I do like watching them wreck. How weird is that? unsure.gif

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: I use to hate NASCAR too, but now I love it!!! Go #8!!!

coasterqueen replied: I just don't understand it. Course I don't understand lots of sports except BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!

GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tongue.gif

kayla's mama replied: Oh I love NASCAR. My fave is #99 and #8 cheerleader.gif

5littleladies replied: I just don't get NASCAR. rolleyes.gif

BAC'sMom replied: I love it! I am currently looking (as we speak) at tickets for the November race at Texas Speedway. DH and son are BIG fans.

Go #8

luvmykids replied: I can only get into it in person, I can't watch it on TV.

gr33n3y3z replied: I love Nascar but you couldnt pay me to sit at the tack and watch it lol
Porta potties Umm no thank you lol

luvbug00 replied: i'M HONESTLY NOT INTO THE NASCAR THING BUT IT'S LIKE ANY OTHER SPORT SOME PEOPLE LIKE IT SOME DO NOT..

My2Beauties replied: We do a NASCAR pot every week where people draw a pole position and whatever person qualifies in that position is your car for that next race. DH does it for fun and he gets 3 free cars out of his pot each week and it's a chance to win $200 for first, $100 for 2nd, $75 for 3rd and $25 for first car out of the race. But to be honest, I can't stand when he watched it, it puts me to sleep. I could care less about it. I don't get in his pot and I only care about it if he wins any money! LOL!

CAMSMOM1 replied:

Oh my gosh, we're HUGE NASCAR FANS!!! bigtup.gif Even Cam's birthday party was a NASCAR theme. tongue.gif If we lived where you do, I'd never get my DH back, he'd be at the races all the time. rolleyes.gif

We are Dale Earnhart Jr. Fans. He owns so much memoriblia of him.

And he's gone to 3 races so far, when they come to Sonoma. I haven't gone yet, but I want to. smile.gif

b&bsmom replied: I used to LOVE it now I just love it. For my 21st bday I got to go and learn to drive a then called winston cup car for 3 days at Buck Baker driving school in Rockingham NC I made my wedding and everything I did red and blue for my all time fav driver Richard Petty, I like Mark Martin 6, Kasey Kahne 9 and Carl Edwards 99. My kids are really into it to favs are Dale jr 8 and Matt kenseth 17.

ps I also have a used autographed racing tire off of Richard Petty's car sitting in my kitchen.

Is that crazy??

MamaJAM replied: I've never understood the appeal. Sitting there watching cars drive around fast - some people waiting for a crash to happen....I don't get it.

I'm really opposed to any/all racing anymore -- especially if the person driving has a family. One of DD's classmates lost his father this past Oct in a racing accident (the dad was an amatuer driver -- who had been rasing for years). Now the mother is left alone to raise their two young children (the accident happened 3 weeks before the DS turned 7 - the DD wasn't yet 4). sad.gif I just don't get why anyone would risk their lives just to drive fast. mad.gif

Brias3 replied: I'm not a fan either but I can bet you that there are plenty out there down in Florida who would do flips for those tickets of yours! biggrin.gif It seems to be a big hit down South.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I'm a casual fan - I watch in on occasion and know enough about it to hold my own in a conversation. I can't name every driver or anything like that though.

I'm basically a casual fan of most sports though execpt I hate basketball and LOVE football.

3xsthefun replied: I'm a fan. But no as big as fans as my parents are.

I can go a weekend without watching it, as for my parents they have to be right in front of the tv for the race.

I have been to about 3 races, but that has been over 7 years ago now.
