Do you still have most of your kids - baby clothes??
mckayleesmom wrote: I admit I do...especially Russell's.
I'm going to go through my garage tonight and give them to a lady with 2 little boys on freecycle in a couple days. I have tons and tons of carters for boys. I even have duplicates of some of the same outfits because my sister use to send me my nephews clothes all the time.
I'm sad to see them finally go, but I need to get over it already and start decluttering.
It makes me feel better though to give them to a couple babies that probably need them way more then my garage does.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I do, but we're not done yet. I have gotten rid of some things, and am planning on having another garage sale and getting rid of some more, but I have at least one big box for every size of my favorites.
Calimama replied: Yes but we get rid of most of everything else. Lucky for me I love to shop!
HuskerMom replied: I only saved a few things. Everything else I gave away or sold on a garage sale.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I did save a few special things, but most of the girls' stuff is given to a friend of SILs for her little girl. Bobby's clothes I've been freecycling - I hate clutter and would much rather know it's being used.
youngmomofone replied: I have a newborn sleeper I loved that I saved because it can go both sexes. I also saved all the clothes my mom and grandmother made her. Gave away the rest to sil and a friend who had baby girls.
msoulz replied: Nope, nothing - a friend's daughter is young, single and her child is a year younger than mine so I have been passing everything on as soon as it is outgrown. It's a good feeling helping someone who really needs it.
luvbug00 replied: I have all of the clothes my mom made me and i put onto mya and all the special dresses i bought her. But the other stuff we got rid of to purple heart and stuff.
CantWait replied: I have most of my clothes up until about 2 years. After that things started getting ruined from scraped knees and stained etc so I had a garage sale a couple years ago, plus they with that much clothing it took up to much space.
mckayleesmom replied: I hear ya...I have tubs and tubs of it..I even have a tub in the garage that is overflowing with stuff..
mom21kid2dogs replied: Nope. I kept 4 outfits from her first year and maybe 3 after that. I'm not having anymore so I didn't see the point. I do have TONS of pics of her in my favorites. I even did a few scrapbook pages on some of them Most of them have been sold on Ebay & a few at garage sales. Anything less that excellent condition was donated to VOA.
stella6979 replied: Yes I do. I get so sentimental about stuff and I keep telling myself I'm only holding onto them in case we have another girl, but since we'll be moving soon, I plan on going through everything and giving them to my Niece. That should be a fun day!
coasterqueen replied: Nope. I have one or two special outfits and that's it. Kylie's clothes got handed down to Megan (so I keep all of Kylie's for that purpose) and then when Megan goes through them I give them away to friends that need them. Just saving Kylie's clothes each year for Megan is more tubs than I would like, especially since Megan doesn't grow as fast as Kylie does.
luvmykids replied: Only a few things, either something someone had monogrammed or hand made. Otherwise, it goes to someone else who would use it rather than sitting in tubs taking up my valuable closet space
Crystalina replied: A special dress here or there and one Holloween costume that both Izabella and Evan has worn for their first Halloween. Gabbs will wear it as well. It's a Winnie-The-Pooh costume but the costume is wearing a bee costume. LOL It's so adorable and warm. I got it at the Disney Store and it is AWESOME even though I'm not a Pooh fan.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Aiden gets a lot of Tanner's hand me downs, so when Tanner grows out of something I save it for Aiden as long as it's in good shape. So far, Aiden doesn't have any pants when he turns 5. Tanner wears out knees like crazy. When Aiden outgrows something I wait until I have a bucket or 2 worth then I donate it to church for our clothing shares that we have twice a year. I do have a couple random baby things I have kept that are not clothing related though. Aiden's blankie will be saved (it also use to be my brothers), Tanner's blankie with his name on it, Tanner's penguin that he sleeps with, etc. The few sentimental things I will keep, but usually not clothes.
Mommy2Isabella replied: We got rid of all of Isabella's when we found out this baby was a boy other than a few sentimental things.
We kept all of Isaia's stuff but this baby will wear most of it and I will get rid of it as he outgrows it.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: only the expensive stuff... although I don't know why I bother.
