Do you take off your rings to shower or clean?

What do you guys do?
Jamison'smama replied: I take them off for major cleaning and lotion...never to just wash my hands.
stella6979 replied: My ring is still a little too big for me, so I have to take it off every time I wash it. The soap makes it very slippery, and I'm afraid of it falling off and going down the drain.
Kaitlin'smom replied: keep them all on when doing most things. I take them and have them cleaned often so its not a big deal to me, I would rather do that then risk losing one.
Nina J replied: Not for just washing my hands, but for major cleaning, and when I have a shower.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Actually, oddly enough, I hardly ever wear my rings in the house. I play in so much gunk and stuff, like playdough, paint, baking, ground meat etc etc not to mention all the times I wash my hands from all the gunk, and all the nose wiping, and bum wiping etc.... I just don't bother wearing my rings. Then i'm not worried about losing it, getting it dirty, or ruining it somehow. I should say "them", but "it" is just easier. I do have two.
I do wear it to go out though. I'm supposed to have my purse out of reach of the daycare kids at all times though, so my purse is up in my room. Next to my dresser, which has my jewellery box on it. So when I go out (not out with the daycare kids I mean) I grab my purse, and put my rings on. Otherwise, I never have them on. For convenience reasons.
coasterqueen replied: Rings drive me bonkers so I take my wedding ring off as soon as I get home. If I'm out, though, I always take off my rings to wash my hands.
mummy2girls replied: I keep my mothers ring on all the time. It means alot to me and i would be devasted if i lost it. I clean it off and such but its always on my finger!
lisar replied: The only time I ever take mine off is when I am cooking something like meatloaf or hamburgers wehre I know my hands are gona be all in it. I take them off then, but as for washing my hands I am always using the sanatizer and lotion so no. But I do have to clean my rings all the time because of it.
hoosier momma replied: I only take my ring off to shower and sleep. It gets pretty dirty sometimes though, so I clean it a lot.
mom21kid2dogs replied: I never take mine off but I ditched my solitare a long time ago. I only wear my wedding band and my anniversary band, now. If I took them off I'd never remember to put them back on!
Calimama replied: I only take it off to put it in the cleaner.
Maddy'sMommy replied: I only take mine off to clean it too
DansMom replied: I always wear mine when I'm cleaning, doing dishes, everything. The only time I've taken off the solitaire is when I'm planting a garden, mostly to avoid the discomfort of dirt getting under the band rather than worrying about the ring getting dirty. The thing is, I am someone who misplaces things. And because of this, I lost an heirloom ring my mother gave me. I took it off to shower at a friend's house during a sleepover when I was 16, didn't remember to put it back on, and when I finally went looking for it days later it was gone. Someone probably stole it---there were loads of teens hanging out at that house---but I couldn't prove it and couldn't find it. Now I'm paranoid I'll put it somewhere unsafe, so I'm not willing to take my rings off. My sister lost her solitaire when she took it off to play softball. We were all over that field with a metal detector but never retrieved it. So my experience tells me to keep it on.
Mommy2BAK replied: I very rarely take my rings off, but when I do it seems like I forget to put them back on. Sooo.... I just leave them on.
luvmykids replied: I only take mine off to clean it. I would be dead if I lost it and the only way I can guarantee that won't happen is to leave it on.
holley79 replied: I take them off when I shower. If I took them off every time I washed my hands I might as well not wear them.
Our Lil' Family replied: I don't normally have jewelry on at home. I just got home and that was one of the first things I did, take it all off. If it does happen to be on when I am washing my hands I don't take it off.
Cece00 replied: I RARELY take mine off for anything. I just have my rings (3 of them) cleaned often.
