Do you wrap the gift's to the kids from santa?

sparkys2boys wrote: Just wondering if you wrap the gifts or not and also where do you put them on xmas eve? In my house we do not wrap gift's from santa and the kids each pick either the couch or the big chair on xmas eve and hang there stocking there. After they go to bed I put there things on what ever spot they had picked. In the morning they know exactly who's is who and where to go. What do you guys all do??

Calimama replied: Yep! My parents always wrapped them so we will for Bella. Half the fun is tearing through the paper. tongue.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: some of the gifts we do and then some we dont, this year we got some larger ones that we are not wrapping but setting up in the living room. we also find its more fun to have the gifts out of those boxes with all those plastic ties, that take forever to get off, and the kids are dying to play with a toy that is taking forever to get out of a box....so we will set some up.

kit_kats_mom replied: No but santa has special ribbons that he ties on the presents with notes to each girl.

booey2 replied: Yup, Santa has his own paper, different from all others that are there (make note to self to buy "other" paper soon). They are labled and put under the tree Christmas eve when he and the reindeer visit while the boys are sleeping. The reindeer have been known to make quite the mess with the carrots we leave out for them.

Kaitlin'smom replied: yes they are wrapped all in the same paper. I buy one roll espically for it.

lesliesmom replied: We (actually I) wrap for our kids. Each kids has their own color paper that santa wraps their presents in. If it is a really big gift (last year there was a kitchen and the year before a castle) we got one of those large plastic/vinyl gift bags (also color coordinated) and save those for teh following year.

Mom and Dad (us) just use cheapy-type paper for our stuff for the kids, that way they know the difference.

gr33n3y3z replied: well not any more but we did some wrapped and some not

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: The Christmas Eve tradition in my house was always that Santa left our gift unwrapped on the loveseat. Each only had a single tag with our name on it. Our stockings are handmade by my grandma, so we could always tell whose was whose. I'm planning on doing the same thing for Logan. This year, I'll set up his new easel on Christmas Eve after he goes to bed so it's there first thing.

3xsthefun replied: Yep, I do. My mom use to also. smile.gif He even has his own special Christmas wrapping paper.

moped replied: I swore i never would when i would help my freind wrap for 3 kids but look at me now - wrapping every little thing

Nina J replied: No, we don't. We do the same thing my parents did when I was a kid, Emily and Odessa each have there own Christmas themed pillow case (lol, anyone else use a pillow case) and Santa fills that with toys. I used to think it was so exciting to look in and see all you presents...sometimes I wish I were a kid again.

holley79 replied: Everything of Annika's is wrapped and the gift tags say from Santa. They are already under the tree though as she doesn't know the difference. Now as she gets older they will be put up till she goes nighters on Christmas Eve.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Some stocking stuffers I don't (I say "I" because I am usually the ones who does it ALL) but everything else I always do. The only acception is if it's something really big that was put together, like his toolbench last year. When Tanner falls asleep then I put the presents out under the tree.

Brias3 replied: Yep! There is special "Santa" paper we use too. Plus, I write in a different style on the tags, just as my mom used to. I would recognize "Santa's writing" anywhere to this day smile.gif

sparkys2boys replied: ok first off.. a pillow case?? I would love to hear more on this!!! Sounds fun!! I'm surprised that more people don't leave the gifts unwrapped. For us as kids it was always the "WOW" of seeing everything all at once!! Thanks for the votes you guys!! It so fun to see what others do at xmas!!

~Roo'sMama~ replied: My mom always wrapped our stocking stuffers - one year she tried to say they were from Santa but we didn't believe her. tongue.gif I'm planning on wrapping stocking stuffers too, but they probably won't say from Santa on them... I'm not sure how big of a deal we'll make of Santa yet. happy.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yes, but growing up, my parents did not. We do Xmas DH's way at our house.... dry.gif
