Doc appt today

But either way I'm always excited when I get to have an appointment, espeically since my midwife is ultrasound happy. Oh and another plus is that this will be that last appointment that I have to pay $176, I guess I'll be paid up now... finally!

Does anyone know when it is that you start going every two weeks... rather than once a month, I can't recall if its after this appointment (7 months) or after next.

boyohboyohboy replied: I just had my 29 week appt, and they are now scheduling me for every two weeks to keep an eye on my blood sugar, but she told me that they usually start that anywhere around 30 weeks.

I think it was about 35 weeks when it was weekly appts!

DillsMommy replied: I started going every two weeks at 30 weeks. Thats what I'm doing now, I have one more appt. in two weeks, then I start going every week!

Danalana replied: So, with a midwife, you deliver at home? That's what I always thought....or at least that you start out at home and go to the hospital if there are complications the midwife can't handle.

boyohboyohboy replied: I had a midwife deliver caleb but it was in the hosp..with our practice its just who ever is at the hosp when you go into labor, and with jake it was another practice, but there was no midwife, and there was a huge difference. i much prefer a midwife.

Mommy2BAK replied: Well I'm back...

I got in trouble with my midwife today because I didn't gain a single pound this month... I'm having a hard time believing that, but oh well.

Oh and I go back in 3 weeks for my next appointment. As far as the midwife thing, she works in the hospital and is really no different than any other doc, except the whole education thing (minor details, huh?! ) So from time to time I may refer to her as my doc, but you know what I mean.

Heather replied: I just had to do my glucose test too. Hope you passed!! I was 27 weeks at my last appt last Friday. He wants me back in 3 weeks and then I will start every 2 weeks. So I am guessing after 30 weeks it will be every 2 like everyone has said
