I'd like to try something and I was thinking about adding some sour cream. I thought it might be pretty good.

Kaitlin'smom replied: DH does and a pretty good spoonful at that. I dont care for the taste of the stuff myself unless its for skins then I need it so they dont taste soooo dry.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I do. I usually put in about 3-4 tablespoons instead of milk. Tastes great. Also, some shredded cheese is pretty good too.

mom2my2cuties replied: I always put a good couple whopping spoonfulls plus a teaspoon of onion powder and then I will toss in some chives...it's really pretty And tastes yummy too

mom21kid2dogs replied: Never used sour creams but I have a drop dead recipie for mashed potaoes that includes cream cheese.

redchief replied: Sour cream on potatoes is quite good... Add a few chives and a little butter and I don't need anything else in the meal.

3xsthefun replied: We didn't have any chives. Maybe I will have look for them next grocery store trip.

I thought the potatoes turned out pretty good, actually tasted better.

Rob and the girls still asked for gravy with their taters though.
