Crystalina wrote: Does it bother you that your kids (if they have) have changed from calling you "Mommy" to just plain old "Mom"? huh.gif Izabella no longer calls me "Mommy" I'm just "Mom" now and it's so saaaad. Evan still calls me "Mommy". wub.gif

Now on the other hand Izabella still calls DH "Daddy" but Evan only calls him "Dad". unsure.gif WTH? These kids are messing with us.

stella6979 replied: Avery only calls us Mom and Dad when she's trying to be funny or she'll even call us Jeff and Shelly....LOL! It doesn't bother me right now, but I'm sure it will when she's no longer doing it to be funny. sad.gif

grandma replied: Our oldest son called us by our first names, it was a hippie thing. It drove my mom crazy, but she lived 2,000 miles away. Our youngest son called us mom and dad.

Swood75 replied: I guess I have adjusted..Mine both used to call me mama, but have been calling me Mom for quite some time now..They still call DH Daddy though still..

Crystalina replied:
Yes but why is that? How does he rate? dry.gif Evan calls him Dad but only when their doing "guy" things. He still uses "Daddy" with him but Bella has stopped with "Mommy" all together. bawling.gif bawling.gif

DillsMommy replied: YES! It bothers me. It sounds so grown up. bawling.gif Normally Dylan still calls me Mommy though. wub.gif
Sometimes he'll call me "mandy" just to be funny. It's adorable though because he says it with such a southern accent. laugh.gif

sparkys2boys replied: Both of the boys just use mom and dad and have for a LONG time. I have gotten used to it now though.

mckayleesmom replied: They still say both....so I guess it doesn't bother me yet.

grandma replied: If it bother's you, just correct them by telling them what you want them to call you.

lisar replied: Lexi and Raygen call me mom but they call dh Daddy. Drives me crazy also.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Alex calls me Momma or Mommy for the most part but every now and then he will say Mom and I dont like it either, it is too grown up for sure and he is still my baby!!

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
It is such a girl thing! My cousin is 20yrs old and calls her dad Daddy still.

lovemy2 replied: I am still Mama to both my kids wub.gif wub.gif However I am Mommy to Olivia when she mad at me.... laugh.gif

Calimama replied: I love the way "mommy" sounds coming from Miabella. DH is "dada" when she's sick or scared and it's so cute.

Crystalina replied:
I've tried correcting her. I've even told her that I will not answer until she calls me 'Mommy' but DH says that's just mean and let her call me what she wants to. She says she feels like a baby saying 'Mommy'. sleep.gif

HuskerMom replied: Keith has switched from calling us mama and dada to mommy and daddy. I think it's way cuter, although I'm not dreading hearing mom, maybe I won't mind it. rolleyes.gif
