Does it bother you - when a topic goes off course?

luvmykids wrote: I'm just curious, because I think it's really easy for someone to make a comment, and then someone else makes a comment on that, and it goes on and can get off the subject. I don't mind because to me it's just like a conversation, where someone says something that makes the other person think of something else, so on and so forth.

But I also notice people saying "sorry to take your thread" or things like that, so it got me wondering. I often relate a story or incident of my own that relates to the opening post but when others do that, they apologize.

So just wondered how much it bothers you and wanted to say sorry to anyone I've offended by doing that!

Bee_Kay replied: It doesn't bother me a bit...

In fact, if it did, I would be a hypocrite wink.gif

I notice I do the same thing (maybe too often).

But, even if I didn't, it wouldn't smile.gif

kayla's mama replied: ITA, IMO that is a conversation. It doesn't bother me one bit unless it gets turned into a debate.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Nope, doesn't bother me at all. happy.gif

1lilpeanut2love replied: iagree.gif WITH EVERYTHING THAT WAS SAID BEFORE ME!! LOL smile.gif

Bee_Kay replied: Monica-
Just as you were posting this.... I was having the same thought in regards to the post that went from cellphones to rugburns on the bum *cough cough* wink.gif

I was like, wow did I ever steer this threat WAYYYYY off course!! blush.gif

luvmykids replied:
Thats what made me think of it too .... I thought people would read that and go "Wait, I thought this was about cell phones?" rolling_smile.gif

But I personally get a kick out of it, I think I try not to do it if it's a serious subject but probably unknowingly do it then too. blush.gif

Bee_Kay replied:

Not that I ever intentionally do it.... but there are some that I know I wouldn't to it to.

mckayleesmom replied: Nope...doesn't bother me.

ilovemybaby replied: Nope it doesn't bother me at all. I do it so much HAHA

MM'sMama replied: Nope not at all. smile.gif

Edward's Mommy replied: I see it as conversation, because in all reality how many times have you been in a converastion that started one thing and when to another? It happens all the time! I actually think it great! laugh.gif

Nina J replied: It doesn't bother me, if I made a post and it ended up getting to a complete different topic, I wouldn't care. happy.gif

CAMSMOM1 replied: My post about losing the motivation to post, (being the posting queen) that one got way off course! rolling_smile.gif But that happens, and that's the nice thing about this board, it's a great conversation with others. It doesn't bother me a bit. But I agree Monica, sometimes if it's a serious topic, I think it should stay on subject, for the sake of the person who posted it. (if they need advice) wink.gif

holley79 replied: Glad we are all in agreement. LOL rolling_smile.gif

I was so afraid to see what someone does get mad about that.

gr33n3y3z replied: sometimes a post needs to go off topic wink.gif

3xsthefun replied: Nope. Doesn't bother me.

MamaJAM replied: It doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes threads can get a bit confusing -- but, it doesn't _bother_ me.

EvesMom replied: Doesn't bother me either. Sometimes it gets pretty entertaining biggrin.gif

JP&KJMOM replied: iagree.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: not at all--it does not bother me that is.

coasterqueen replied: Doesn't bother me.
