Does this offend you??? - Not meant to start a ugly debate.....

I think this kinda wacko.gif. I would not put my cat in the bag but I don't think it is worth getting offended over.

amynicole21 replied: Ha! I think it's kind of funny. If your cat doesn't claw your eyes out when you try to put it on them, what's the harm? dunno.gif

redplaydoh replied: I think it's mean! mad.gif

TheOaf66 replied: not offensive, dumb but not offensive

TANNER'S MOM replied: Is it different in dressing your dog in stuff you know they wouldn't be caught dead in?

MoonMama replied: If the owner manages to have any skin left after trying.... wacko.gif

coasterqueen replied:
ITA.

Insanemomof3 replied: I don't think it is offensive or mean. Mean to a human maybe, but not the cat.

CantWait replied:
Ditto.
As they said, they're last marketing campainge with the new commercials was a success. So why wouldn't this?

moxee24 replied:
I don't agree. How is it mean? I think it is embarassing for the animal, but not mean. It's no different then dressing up your dog or any other animal, ie: a horse for a parade or show or something of that nature. I would never do it to one of my cats, 'cuz i would be embarassed blush.gif for them, besides I wouldn't have any flesh left on my hands and arms even if I did try wink.gif

luvmykids replied: Uh, no, not really worth my time to get offended rolleyes.gif People put their pets (including cats) in clothes all the time and have been forever. I used to put doll clothes on my cat emlaugh.gif

Danalana replied: I don't think it was meant to be mean...it doesn't bother me. and, heck, I am extremely sensitive about animal things. I just think about me trying to dress JoJo, my dog. I used to get sweaters and t-shirts for him. I would get them on him and he would just stand there and look at me like i was a raving lunatic. Then he refused to move from that spot. I took it as a hint that he didn't like it tongue.gif so I stopped.

grapfruit replied: I think it's super funny! tongue.gif I probably wouldn't put it on my cat, and I think he would let me, but it's not hurting them at all...Does it hurt to put clothes on normally?? Cats are resilant.

I used to have a cat that would crawl inside empty beer/pop boxes and Tim would spin him around on the kitchen floor, then he would get out walk all funny. It sounds mean, but the cat loved it. After falling down a few times, he'd get up and run back over to him to do it again. He never spun him enough to make him sick, just a few times. The cat was an amusment park junkie! LoL! emlaugh.gif He also liked being spun on his side on the floor. You could sit on the floor and he'd come lay on his side for you to spin him. It was funny b/c he'd streach all out. He was a crazy kitty! tongue.gif

kristy-n-chad replied:
Ditto.

Cece00 replied: Not offensive. Slightly funny, actually. I'd never do it, even if I owned a cat...I have better things to do than wrangle an animal into an outfit...but still slightly humorous.

redchief replied: I watched the video that pic was taken from. That's one uncomfortable kitty. Tufts (the cat's name apparently) should claw her owners' eyes out as they sleep.

Calimama replied: I fail to see how it's any different than dressing your dog? I think both are dumb. rolleyes.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: nope doesnt bother me at all

Boo&BugsMom replied: Offended?!? Please! I agree with the others about it being no different than dressing your dog. People need to spend their time catching and throwing fits at the ones who really do harm to animals instead of flipping out over a paper bag cat dress! I am sure the cat is not going to be mentally unstable after this. rolleyes.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Certainly silly, but certainly not worth an animal cruelty charge. Puh-LEASE! rolleyes.gif

kimberley replied: i think it's kinda funny dunno.gif

how is it any different from these weird rich people who have designer gear for their newly coifed and manicured chihuahua? it's just a ghetto cat laugh.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
My thoughts exactly. Right down to the puh-LEASE!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: well not something I woudl try with my cats, they woudl not stand for it, but its really not much different then dressingthem in other cloths or tutu's. not offensive. A bit dumb, but I have better things to worry about.

hopefulmomtobe replied: HA! I think it is histerical! I think all animals look dorky in clothes, including dogs and I think my dog would have her feelings hurt if I did that to her. I bet that cat wanted to go and hid it's head in shame. I used to (when I was little...dont get mad though) put things on my cats paws like hair bands and stuff to watch her try and shake it off, it was so funny to me. Yea, I was easily amuzed as a child, still am. But to throw out Animal Cruelty in that artical was a little far fetched, I mean, it is a bag...the cat can still walk and breath...geeezzzz

lisar replied:
I agree.

Celestrina replied: I don't see how it is animal cruelty. The cat might be uncomfortable, but it is not being harmed.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Absolutely idiotic, yes. Cruelty, no.
