Don't laugh too hard....
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: I decided to venture into the playroom today to clean it. I hate cleaning that playroom. It always puts me in a bad mood. Well, Ethan was asleep, I put Maddie outside....it was a beautiful day. I opened the windows and aired out the house....you get the picture.
We have a sliding glass door going into the playroom (it is really a sunroom that doubles as a playroom) I went into the playroom and closed the sliding glass door. Just as I shut the door the stick (that we use to secure the door closed at night) came falling down LOCKING ME IN THE PLAYROOM!!!! The garage door...closed. Remember I have a sleeping baby in the house. Luckily I had opened the kitchen window, but I was not fitting thru there! I had to get my poor little girl to climb thru the window and off the cabinets to open the door for me. She was great about it. I still feel terrible, but it is pretty funny.
mommy2owen replied:
Glad to hear she was able climb and get you out!
gr33n3y3z replied: LOL OMG that is so funny I'm sorry I just remember the time John locked me out of the house I was on the 2nd floor deck and I had to bribe him to let me back in lol
mummy2girls replied: OH NO! Im sorry i know you said not to laugh but i just couldnt help it:) You crack me up!
iluvmysweetiepies replied: Sorry, but that's really funny! I'm glad you were able to get in the house- and w/o waking the baby!
Boys r us replied: Haaaaa!! That is a great blonde moment Aimee..don't feel bad, I have them all of the time!
DVFlyer replied:
I can totally picture the stick falling. I'll bet it all happened in slow motion for you too!
ediep replied: oh no!!!! I've done that, I had to call my sister to get out of work to come unlock my door, she has a key.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yep, it was slow motion alright! Too bad it wasn't so slow that I could stop it.
I have no one to call!! Scotty works an hour away, too. Thank God that window was open!
texasp3 replied: Ack, you would have been in a pickle if that window wasn't open! I'm glad Maddie let got you back in. Is she tickled to have been so helpful? I would think she would be. I'll be sure to ask her to tell me about it on Friday.
A&A'smommy replied: LOLOL that is pretty funny! don't feel bad my mom use to the to me ALL the time I LOVED it lol
MommyToAshley replied: Oh my!
Since it turned out ok and everyone was safe, I can laugh now, right? I can just picture the whole scenerio.
And, WTG Maddie! What a big girl to be so helpful.
PascosGirl replied: Sounds like something I would do. I am soooo laughing at you! Sorry!
Daisyx3 replied: LOL My kids like climbing in when We lock the keys in the house lol.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Sure, you can laugh now!
Maddie was scared at first and I told her that I needed her to do this for me so we could get back into the house. She sat there a minute and climbed in the window with no fuss. She got out of the sink and onto the cabinet (lol) and said "Mommy! There is no chair there!!!" I said "It's okay, honey....just climb off...you can do it." She turned around climbed down (a little shaky) and ran to get the stick out of the door. It's like once she made up her mind to do it....there was no stopping her. That's my girl!!! She is so smart and so strong!! I'm so proud of her!
Josie83 replied: Its a god thing that Maddie was there, what a brave little girl! I'm glad everything worked out okay xx
mammag replied: You poor thing! It's a good thing she was out there also to help you get in.
I did this when I first moved into this house. I have one of those locks on the front door that you can open w/out unlocking. Well, I went to put trash out and as soon as I shut the door realized what I did. Luckily they were still building in the area and the guy who watches over the builds drove by and had a master key to all the houses . Worked good for me but kind of scary! All my kids were asleep in the house at the time!
Kaitlin'smom replied: oh my glad maddie was such a great help
kimberley replied: LOL that is hilarious! glad you figured it out
