Don't let me go to the mall by myself again

MommyToAshley wrote: DH watched Ashley while I ran to the mall to pick up my contacts from Lenscrafter. I thought, hmmm, while I am there I will get Ashley her Easter Dress. WELL... I couldn't decide which I liked better so I bought two!!!!!! And, Elder Beerman had their summer stuff 60% off and then an additional 15% off at the counter. SOOOOO, I bought Ashley the cutest little strawberry outfit with strawberry sandals. When it comes to Ashley, I am just out of control and should not be allowed to shop without a chaperone!

jdkjd replied: I'm normally not a big shopper but get me near a BabyGap with a credit card and I am out of control. I'm off to Old Navy right now-it's going to be ugly!

MomToMany replied: wink.gif I know what you mean! I buy a lot of clothes for Hannah on eBay, and it's hard to resist the temptation to keep looking & bidding on more! It's a woman's instinct for sure; we're just trying to clothe our kids rolling_smile.gif ! After 3 boys, it's fun to buy cute GIRL clothes!

Kaitlin'smom replied: Yep I agree, I was at JcPenny this past sunday and they had buy one get one for a 1, then I had a special coupon for an additional 20% off, well I was just 'looking around' well that turned into 4 outfits! DH found the cutiest little short overalls so I had to but them, but overall I did not spend that much about $28 for 4 outfits! Not to bad, but I told my DH to get me out before I spend to much!

supermom replied:
Oh, how I wish soon that I resemble that remark!!! There are SO MANY MORE cute girls clothes than cute boys clothes.......so many many more!! It's just not fair <she says stomping her feet and putting her hands on her hips!>

Kaitlin'smom replied: yes yes there are, maybe to many! That why we all need to be supervised while shopping! wink.gif

MommyToAshley replied: There's lots of cute boy stuff too. When I went to some of the winter clearance sales, all I could find is boy stuff!

Kaitlin'smom replied: there is some yes but way more girls things, mostly because they also have dresses and skirts, along with short and pants boys wear.

I have noticed over the years they have come out with alot more cute things for boys ( I have nephews 14 oldest, 5 youngest) I am glad about that! rolleyes.gif

supermom replied:
Yes, if you look, there are usually at LEAST twice as many racks of girls clothes.

And yeppers, the boy clothes are getting cuter, because they weren't this cute when my 18 YO "baby" was little!

CantWait replied: don't I know it, the other day I went to the store to buy my son a pair of rain boots since the snow has melted and all there is is mud and water. He's destroyed his winter boots. I came home with two outfits for him, his rain duckies, a pair of sandles (it's not even summer yet), an outfit for the baby, a little teddy bear that says a new version of the "now I lay me down to sleep" prayer ( a much less gresome one at that )......and here's the real kicker, a Toronto Maple leafs Jersey for the baby that won't fit for at least 8 months. (but it was sooooooooo cute). Needless to say my paycheck which I was proudly saving for some shopping some other day is gone. Glad tomorrow is friday and the possibility for good money making is hopeful at work. However those tips go to my son's easter present, the big one at least ( a brand new 20" mountain bike......I can't wait).

I love to spoil my kid(s) when I can.

MommyToAshley replied: You seem to say this a lot... I guess you picked a good handle for yourself. LOL rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: ROFL! I LOVE to shop too! unfortunately, so does DH... which means that both our credit cards are maxed out. So no shopping for us until we clear them!! (shouldn't take TOO long... blush.gif )

Ah well. I still have my bank card!! Darn interact machines... they make shopping so easy!!!!

lol

Kaitlin'smom replied: funny thing is I love shopping for Kaitlin, but no so much for me. I am the one who need some new clothes now............Oh well I always put me last and most times never! bawling.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Exactly, Ashley has more clothes now than me!!!

Of course, I am waiting until I lose this weight to buy anything. I may be waiting a long time. sad.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:

dont worry it will come off soon, I was thinking of trying to join a gym to help with my pooch, after that c-section its so loose! Need to change that!

I guess thats also why I dont want to but much, I had to buy some pants for work but since I am inbetwwen sizes (I dont like buing the bigger size sad.gif ) I did not want to spend much, so I was at Walmart on day and found a few for $3 each so I bouhgt 4 pairs. I only really like 2 of them!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: 3$ pants?!?! I'd have bought like 20$-40$ worth in all sizes!! rofl! You can always make a little profit on discount clothes - sell it on Ebay!

Buy them for 3, sell them for 5...

CantWait replied:

Yes Dee Dee I'm like a little kid or a puppy that gets overly excited...I'm suprised I don't pee myself. laugh.gif
