Doubling 2yo height to find adult height

Doc said she's projected to be 5"8' to 5"9' on their charts.

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley is 37-1/2 inches tall, which doubled would be 75 inches (6' 3"). Wow..that is really tall. If it is true, she has a career in basketball. Now that I think about it, she loves to play basketball so maybe she will be a famous lady basketball player.

Of course we also both have brown eyes but hers are blue. Maybe she just got my short, blue-eyed grandmas genes...wierdo kid. LOL

They told us this about Jaci, and I believe she is only 33 inches, which would make her 66 inches, which is only 5'4", but dh is 6'0" and I'm 5'10", so I'm not so sure.

According to my data, I was 32 inches at 18 months (no data for 2 yrs) so should've been at least 64 inches (5'4"). No luck!

For DS, he was just about 33.5 inches at 2 yrs so he should be 67 inches (5'7") when he's done growing. His dr, projects he'll be at least as tall as his father (5'7") and could be over 6 ft (after my dad's family).

DD isn't 2 yrs yet but she's 29 inches now at 15 months...preemie adjusted age 12 months. Which is about what DS and I were at 12 months!

well i can believe jenna to be 5 2...poor girl..LOL. arons mom and sister is around that...but everyone on my side of the family is tall. my mom is tall my dad, my uncles and aunts on both sides..etc etc and i even have a 16 year old cousin who is 6 2 already...LOL.

Kaitlin'smom replied: hummm well Kaitlin is not 2 yet so I dont know but based on her 18 month stats she was 31 1/2 so that is 63 inches or 5'2.5 I know she has grown since then, so we will see based on 2 years stats

ediep replied: well, I don't have Jason's stats yet becasue his 2 year well visit is in 2 weeks. I am sure he wull be a shorty!! He already is below 50% for height and DH and I are both short as is everyone in our families.

I have also read that if you get the average of the moms and dads heights and add 2 inches for a boy and subtract 2 inches for a girl, you will get the baby's full grown height

me 60 inches
DH 66 inches

Jason 63+2=65 5'5" My poor little man!
