Downloading music off the internet... - need help

jdkjd wrote: I just started doing this and am having a little trouble. I am using Xolox, which has been easy to use and doesn't have any spyware which is nice. But many of the songs I have downloaded have little stutters in them.

Is it the file or my media player (Using MusicMatch right now). I've also tried KaZaA but had the same problem.

If you download music, what program do you use? Do you have any tips for a beginner?

Thanks!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Well, I use KaZaA, and I've never had a problem. I have so many songs..... I have enough to fill 8 cd's with mp3s. Now if you know anything about mp3s.... you can fit a coupl ehundred on ONE cd....

There's always music on where i am! smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: Jenn,

Let me know what you want and I'll see if we have it. We have alot of MP3's and I'll be happy to make you some cd's. They have all been checked to make sure the whole song is on there and that it is a good copy.

I'll try to get a username and password for you for woody's site so you can browse our titles.

jdkjd replied: I don't have a mp3 player but I wanted to make cds for the car...I don't have a cd player at work. And no sound card. ugh.

Do you think it's my computer that's causing the blips?

kit_kats_mom replied: Actually Jenn,

I'll just put them all on DVD and let you go through and pick the songs you want

ashade75 replied: If TLC is viewing he could probably help you. That is who I call when I have computer questions...

He is definitely the computer brainiac smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
You can have mp3s saved as regular music files. Generally only 10-12 fit on a cd though.... let me know if you want something specific, and I'll see if I have it!

jdkjd replied:
Thank you! I would be surprised if any of you guys had some of the music I was looking for. I downloaded a ton of old school booty music from my high school years (Late eighties, '90 and '91) that I didn't have copies of (i.e. think run dmc, 2 live crew etc) Nasty but fun.

And that cd will be in the no-Bailey zone... biggrin.gif

I was then going to try and compile dance songs from my college years ('91-95), I'm going to have to confab with my old roomates for which ones I should look for...

BUT I still want to pillage your DVDs, I'm sure there is some good stuff. I, unfortunately, happen to like a lot a bad stuff (I still have a Milli Vanilli cd and like it!) biggrin.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: Oh Jenn,

Well you can always "blame it on the rain" but I will make you some cd's of some stuff you might like. We have so many songs, "more than you'll ever know""Girl, you know it's true". You can "take it as it comes" cause "it's your thing" but it's "all or nothing". Just give me a call and "baby, don't forget my number" ROFLMAO! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Those are all milli vanilli songs for those of you who think I am officially off of my rocker. LOL I'm actually pretty proud that I got 7 out of 10 songs on the album into this post without getting too silly.

jdkjd replied:
Veeerry nice! You have to admit that Blame it on the Rain and Girl you know it's true are at least catchy... biggrin.gif

CantWait replied: try Morpheus, www.morpheus.com. It is very user friendly. Also I got all music from Old school 80's and 90's, 50's and 60's to classical and everything and anything inbetween, if ya need anything let me know. I'm a music fanatic.

jdkjd replied: Thank you everyone!! I'll let you know how it goes...
