Ear wax! - ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww

MomofTay&Sam wrote: emlaugh.gif Sammy is the ear wax champion of NY! He has the worst ear wax ever. I have to clean them daily! Ewwwwwwwwww The doc says it is normal for him, some babies have alittle some have alot and some have almost none. Who here has waxy babies? LOL EWwwww

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley might give Sammy a run for that title. It's grosss! But, it has gotten better this past month for some reason.

~CrazieMama~ replied: My baby has a nice amount of wax. Not alot but a nice amount. It makes its way out and I just pick it off and flick it!!! lol

MomofTay&Sam replied: LMAO HappyMom, I wasnt going to admit that.hahahhahahha Too funny!

~CrazieMama~ replied: Glad I could embarrass myself...lol

MomofTay&Sam replied: laugh.gif I strap Sam in the car seat everyday and do a quick check, anything laying loose is fair game! OMG we are insane, ear wax pickers and diaper smellers! Dont forget boogie picker! LOL

~CrazieMama~ replied: Gotta pick the boogers!!!!! I think they bother me more though...lol Oh my goodness!!! I torture my baby!!!! I pick her boogers, flick her wax and sniff her bottom!!!! I am the mother I wished I would never be!!! lol emlaugh.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: Madison has very little ear wax, maybe once a month it comes out. Boogers are a whole nether story. She has to have her nose cleaned everyday, if not it gets real dry in there and I can't get it out. Then it looks like she can't breath because it is so clogged. Sometimes when I fight with her and I can't get it I will have to resort to using tweezers. I know you probley shouldn't cause I can end up stabbing her in the nose with them but I can't get it out any other way. She stays still while I do it , so I have never hurt her doing it.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Weeeeelllllll...............I have to admit I keep my pinky finger nails long for a reason.... and contrary to my brother's smart-a$$ comments, I don't do crack.

I kinda LIKE picking his nose and ears. blush.gif (kinda liks the whole scab picking and zit-popping...I like doing that too!!!! ewww...too much info, sorry!)

Kaitlin'smom replied:

I just hope you are not planning on picking his scabs and zits!

I admit I am a picker ( I am getting better) but I am doing real good at not picking at anything scabs or the baby acne she has had! But her buggers and ear wax what little she has is fair game! (only when the wax is out!)

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
EGADS no! lol! I like picking at MY scabs, and DH's zits (I don't really get em...)

Zach will probably slap me if I ever try to pick at his zits... heh heh teenage hormones..you know... emlaugh.gif

Although..I have to admit...I used to sorta pick at his scalp when he had really bad cradle cap. I stopped though. I used mineral oil instead...cleared it up in pretty much 24 hours.

Kaitlin'smom replied: the only time I 'picked' at her was when her skin was real dry the docs office told me to use vasline and to remove the flakes as the came off so i could apply more and help it heal faster. So I guess it was doctor approved picking! LOL

so have you ever wanted to pop some ones zit for them? you know you see this really big yellow one on someone and wish you could pop it, come on admit it......................LOL rolling_smile.gif J/K!

Oh I was just joking on picking your sons! LOL funny image though!

ediep replied: I hate when Jason has boogers! I try to get them but he squirmes away.... rolling_smile.gif

earwax though.....Jason's ped said not to use q-tips. They could damage the ear. I just wait until it flakes and then get it.

Schnoogly replied:
Just an idea about the boogers--try a q-tip. Safer than tweezers, and the boogers stick to the qtip usually. Also try the little noses nasal gel--it keeps the nose moist so the boogers don't dry out and stick. You can apply it with a q-tip.

Iain has lots of stringy boogers and he HATES when I even get close to his nose!

Mild earwax though, not too bad. Good thing he's not as bad as his dad (ewwwww!)

Steph

Mommieto2Girls replied:

Where can you get the noses nasel gel? I've never heard of it.

Schnoogly replied: Well I got it from drugstore.com. But I think any drugstore would have it. The brand is "little noses" and we have the saline spray too. They also make cold medicine I think.

catou_98 replied: blush.gif hehehe, major nose picker here!!! wavey.gif , S/O usualy yells at me to stop bothering her....of course she hates it when I pick her nose and she sreams but I just can't stand seeing boogers in there! huh.gif soooo yucky!........yep gotta be a mommy for doing these things! thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: heehehe, nose-picker here too. LOL. I hate when Ashley gets boogies! (That's what we call them) I usually give her a bath before trying to get them out, it helps to moisten them up. But, I think I am going to look for the little noses gel/spray

MomofTay&Sam replied: I wait til they are almost hanging out. Sammy is no stranger to nose spray with all his sickness. LMAO it's no better than the finger or q-tip. He see's it all coming! What smart little kids huh! I made the mistake of reading this thread today at lunch and almost barfed.. rolling_smile.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: Thanks Schnoogly, I will be looking for that tomorrow when I go to the store.
