Easter Baskets....
MommyToAshley wrote: So, have you started shopping for Easter Basket stuff? What are you putting in the Easter Baskets this year?
I don't think I am getting Ashley too much in her basket because I want to get her a bicycle to ride this spring. Her birthday is in the September, not a good month for giving bicycles.
NEWMOM05 replied: Okay, so my lil' one isn't 1-3 but I wanted to respond. Hopefully it's alright. I plan on getting Kathryn some sandals and socks and baby food and stuffed bunny. Also an Easter Dress I'm sure and I don't know what else.
MommyToAshley replied: Sure you can respond... we're pretty casual around here. I just replied to a post in the expecting club, and there is nothing expecting about me. Ok, so maybe I still have some of the baby fat, but that's all it is.
Sounds like a cute basket...you'll have to take a picture of it for us!
mummy2girls replied: i got jenna a basket with a stuffed bunny, stickers, hair elastics and barrets, a bunny mask for dressup, and books... no chocolate thsi year because im wuite sure my dad will supply that for her..
Nina J replied: We are getting Emily a rabbit. She loves animals, but with a new baby coming we didn't really want to get a puppy or a kitten, so we decided a rabbit would be a good pet. A friend is going to build a home for it. Other than that just some chocolate and other little things. I also brought her her own rosary beads, she is always looking at mine which I have above my bed, so I figured I'll get her one for her bedroom. MIL got her a really pretty framed print of the Hail Mary when she was born, which seems like a weird thing to hang in a kids bedroom, but it looks really good and some rosary beads will look nice next to them I think.
luvmykids replied: I'll probably do some sidewalk chalk that looks like eggs, some flower seeds (they love to plant!), some kids jewelry for the girls (Wal-Mart always has cheapo cross pendants for little ones) , and I don't know what else.
Momof3inMe replied: We are not doing big baskets this year. We are going to get all 3 kids different kinds of balls and we are going to do a outside easter egg hunt. We have never done this before. We are going to have my family over for lunch so I think it will be fun for everyone to to watch. I am not sure what we will put in the eggs I am not big on candy and stuff like that.
Kaitlin'smom replied: yep I am doing more of things she need, so far I have a cute dress, 2 swimsuits, the leep frog DVD words, bath stuff. She will get a bit of chocolate. Corse hidden eggs with money in them. I am going to try and keep it small and simple with things she needs and maybe one thing she wants.
5littleladies replied: Isn't that frustrating? We gave Bri one for Christmas-not a good time either, but that way she'll have it this spring. And she's been riding it in the house so she's enjoying it anyways.
I hadn't even thought about easter baskets until I was in Target last night. I don't think we'll do a whole lot this year because we're tight with $, but I'm sure they will get candy, a small toy or two, and maybe some hair accessories.
3xsthefun replied: We haven't started get anything yet. I'm not going get them to many things this year. Maybe some bubble makers, a new movie and few other little things.
I'm sure my parents will supply them with plenty of candy. So I might not even worry about getting them candy.
3_call_me_mama replied: Well kathlen is getting a bike (september b-day also) and Cameron is getting a scooter (nov b-day) and we dont' have teh house layout that would allow they to ride inside LOL In the baskets they are both getting veggie tales movie, a kids music cd, seeds to plant and jelly beans . kat's getting an umbrella and mudboots and cam is getting mudboots and something else small maybe a kite. (candy in an egg hunt later at my moms)
kimberley replied: i don't usually do baskets.. but i get those plastic eggs from the dollar store (and a few chocolate ones ) and fill them with snacks and they hunt in the yard for them.
My3LilMonkeys replied: We don't really do big baskets - probably their swimsuits, an outfit, one small stuffed animal/toy and a piece of candy.
Brias3 replied: I'll probably do a small toy each and some goodies too- fruit snacks, a bit of candy, lollipops, the traditional rabbit Pez We usually also do a group gift of a DVD or something of the like for the three to share as well.
Speaking of baskets, I just got the CUTEST ones at Kohl's today, on sale at the store by me nonetheless. The boys' baskets are sports ones- a plush basketball basket for Mason and a soccer ball one for Ryan. I got Aliyah a darling duck one. They're so soft too and pretty good sized baskets! Just a tip if you have a Kohl's nearby to check out!
