CantWait wrote: Is there even such thing as a Healthy dessert besides pudding and jello? I'd like to make dessert for the kids, besides just fruit at least a few times a week.
Post your ideas and recipes here please.
CantWait replied: Something with Pineapple for tonight would be great.
I have flour, pineapple in a can, sugar, and eggs.
CantWait replied: Bumping this up to be annoying and because I'm going to start dinner now. Will leave computer on and check back in a bit though.
PrairieMom replied: I'm not ignoring you, but I have no recipies for ya. Isn't the whole point of dessert to be un-nutritious?
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Hmmm.... how about crepes (really thin pancakes), with some pineapple spread on it, rolled up and topped with whipped cream? Would make sort of like a fruity canelloni...
CantWait replied: Oh Tara you're to funny. I suppose in all essence it should be, however the fat is starting to come off again, so I want something sweet but not with a lot of pound packers.
That sounds delisious Rocky, but no whipped cream in the house.
coasterqueen replied: Actually jello and pudding aren't healthy for you either. I'm not sure there really is a healthy dessert except like a bowl of mixed fruit or something like that.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ok, so use yogurt.
ediep replied: my sister made a cake called Mexican Fruit Cake. It has pineapple in it. She said it was pretty healthy because it didn't have any butter or oil, just flour sugar, eggs, pineapple. She frosted it with cream cheese frosting, but if you leave that off it's not too bad
Saylasmommy_Hillary replied: Try.. One layer Angel cake (A Slice) Then Light whipped cream then another layer of angel Cake and then Whipped cream and Fresh Strawberries on top. Hope that helps!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Well, this is not at all healthy, but it's really yummy!

maddie223 replied: Even though this has nothing to do with pinapple, but you want a KIND OF healthy sweet thing for kids.
Buy pre-packaged jello with electrolytes. They taste the same and i still like eating them, plus kids get viatims and stuff from eating it. It's good if they have been out for a run or done a lot of actvity. Also electroylte iceypoles are good for that too. (although the rest of it isnt that healthy )
