Eat eat eat - what to eat?
moped wrote: I find that I have to eat quite frequently to keep my tummy settled - like every 2 hours for sure.....but I have a hard time with what to eat because I don't want to gain a thousand pounds but I need my tummy to be calm and settled - what did you eat????
luvbug00 replied: I ate pickles with mya. lots and lots of pickles. maybe a salad or fruit? yogart?? frozen yogart or jucie freezer pops?
lisar replied: Try some fruit see if that will work. Also how about some crackers? Or yogurt.
3xsthefun replied: Yogurt, crackers, fruit & veggies.
moped replied: Just reading the word yogurt makes my stomach turn -
Calimama replied: I ate a TON of granny smith apples, strawberries and watermelon.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: That's the hardest stage of pregnancy IMO...the food aversions. I hope you find something you can keep down. How are you feeling, btw?
moped replied: I feel yucky all the time - non stop
I am trying really hard not to complain!
Calimama replied: Complain all you want hun! That's what we are here for!
lovemy2 replied: Complain away girlfriend - I found pregnancy to be the only thing I loved so much I hated it
Try things like cheese, crackers, vanilla wafers, ginger snaps (ginger is very good for settling the tummy), graham crackers....I know they are all carbs but you know what if it works go with it....
lisar replied: Complain away!!! We are all here for each other thru our ups and downs.
hopefulmomtobe replied: Vanilla wafers helped me.
And by all means, complain away! Heck - all of us other preggos do! hee hee
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I hear you... I was the same way and I DID gain too much weight because of it. Crackers helped a little but saltines made me feel sicker. Fruit was good - especially oranges and grapefruit, sour candy and lemonade helped keep the queasiness away too. Hang in there!!
Cece00 replied: I was so sick all 4 times I could barely eat. I lost weight every single time, sometimes as little as 5 lbs, with my first I lost 25 lbs
So I would eat whatever I could actually get into my stomach, because trying to eat most things made me gag. Whether it meant fast food (hey, SOMETHING is better than nothing, even if it is full of fat), plain bread, a steak, or a piece of fruit.
I wasnt worried about the weight, I was worried about surviving for the 2-3 months I was always sick for.
Danalana replied: I know I just got started but, right now, I'm like you. I start to feel bad when I'm hungry...and it seems like my stomach is rumbling very often I've done a lot of reading and they say carbs are good for keeping you full longer. Especially complex carbs. It's in one of my pregnancy books...not sure which one. *sigh* I hope something works for you.
moped replied: So what foods are complex carbs?
