ediep replied: hi, thanks so much for thinking of us. Sorry the update was so late. I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was so nervous, so when Jason went down for his nap, I just relaxed on the couch.

anyway, it went well. We arrived at the hospital at 7am and he was taken in without much waiting. The nurses were really nice and brought him so many toys, made jokes with him, let him play with the automatic doors, and really made freinds with him.....so that by the time it was his turn to go to the OR, he just took the nurses hand and walked down the hall with her. DH and I just looked at eachother and said "When did Jason get so big and brave?" We were so proud of him.

The 20 minutes we were in the waiting room felt so long....they finally came to get us and told us he was done. He was just coming out of the anesethia and was really disoriented and crying. I held him as he cried for 20 minutes or so. Once he really woke up, he was fine. We got him dressed and went home.

He was so hungry, he ate a bag of cheerios in the car and he wanted lunch when we got home (never mind that it was 9:30am) We had a Nemo picnic in the family room...which is eating on a blanket while watching Finding Nemo.

So far the tearing seems better, but the doc said it still may tear a bit as it heals. His tears and his nose runs a little bit bloody...so thats a scary sight. He has to get antibiotic eye drops 4 times a day for a few days.

Thanks to everyone for the P&PT and the calming vibes this week. They really helped.....but man, I am so glad thats over!!!

ediep replied: thanks everyone. We finished the antibiotic drops today and I have already noticed an improvement in the tearing. The right eye still tears a little but the left seems all better. His doc said it still may tear for up to a week while it heals.
