Encounters with wierd people - anybody have any ?
mckayleesmom wrote: Just wondering if anyone else gets strange encounters with people when they see you have a baby. People constantly come up and ask me about Mckaylee, and yesterday at the store this lady asked me about her and then proceeded to tell me that she had triplets once and one died, well I told her I was sorry for her loss and continued looking through items and then she came up again and tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I wanted to know how he died, before I could say that it was alright and she didn't have to share, she told me he was hit by a semi (SP?) truck. What do you say to someone when they say that, here I am with my baby and she lost hers. But my main question is ,,Why is she telling me this? Maybe she just needed someone to talk to , but she started getting creepy cause she kept following me around the store. YIKES
amynicole21 replied: Yikes I don't know what I would have done!! We haven't had too many weirdos come up to us, but a lot of old ladies who won't get the hint and leave already
ediep replied: its funny, having a baby in the store always invites people to come and chat. I am a pretty shy person and I don't really strike up conversations with strangers, but when I have Jason with me, people always come up to us and start talking.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Yikes! what a strange thing. I would have felt real okward and wanted to leave.
I do notice that I get more looks and people talk to me more now whan I am out with her. I dont mind people looking it when they want to grab at her (well not litterly) but I dont knwo where they have been!
Jacqueline_n_Alyssas_Mom replied: Yikes! I meet people in the stores & also when we go for walks around town that actually walk up to me and ask if my dd's are twins? um.... I think there is ALOT of difference between them (age & size wise to be twins)
What do you think???

supermom replied: That is really really strange......
It is funny how babies invite people to come and talk to you, but that woman was a bit wierd!! I don't know, there are just so many kooks running around today, and you can never be too sure.
I'm pretty outgoing, but that would have given me the willies!!
Mommieto2Girls replied: I would have been freaked out if she was following me around to. Some people have no manners. lolI only get people that want to play with Maddie and touch or hold her. It drives me crazy. Everywhere I go with Maddie she tries to pick everone up. (maybe she's looking for a new home. lol j/k). The worst thing is anyone that walks up and holds their arms out to hold her she goes right to them. Sometimes I wish she was on the shy side and a little clingy to me at times. lol
Kaitlin'smom replied: ya I dont much care for the lets put our arms out and see if they will come to me. Now dont get me wrong I dont mind if I know the person but if I dont then dont do that! Kaitlin is just starting to reach out (moslty to me right now), and believe me I am not just gonna hand her over to just anyone!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Jessica, I think they look very much alike, but maybe not like twins... but I can definitely see a resemblance...maybe people think they're fraternal twins as opposed to identical twins?
I had people come up and touch my belly when I was pergnant. Complete strangers would come right up to me and put their hand on my STOMACH!!!!!
Private bubble.... no touchy.
mckayleesmom replied: believe it or not, I only had one hand besides my husbands on my belly and it was a friend when I told her I was pregnant. But I know alot of people do touch without asking.
supermom replied: I love to rub pg women's bellies - teehee - but I never do without asking, and I would never ask anyone that I didn't know well........I just can't imagine someone doing that without asking. Maybe my size scares them
paradisemommy replied: yep we come across a lot of weirdos. we went to the swap meet and were walking along when this old asian guy comes right up to me and holds his arms out to the baby..here i'm thinking "yeah you are smokin' i'm gonna hand my baby over to this strange guy that i have no idea who it is" you just have to smile real big and tell him "bye!"
i guess a baby is an open invitation for people to come talk to you and spill their guts...kinda like a bartender
Kirstenmumof3 replied: That is strange ! I've never encountered that myself, but I do have people come and gawk over Claudia everytime we go to the mall!
kit_kats_mom replied: LOL, I told a couple of people who were on the way to touch my belly that my boobs had gotten bigger too. That usually stopped them from touching my belly.
I actually ran into a wierd lady at the toy store today. I think she was drunk or something. Really loud, mumbling. She got in line behind me (so I was trapped ) and started talking about how cute Katherine is then she went on about her boy wanting a little sister but they adopted a kid in another country but she still lives there??? Hua? Maybe a pen pal or one of those feed the world children? I dunno. Anyway, she creeped me out!
mckayleesmom replied: lol,,,Im glad Im not the only one...
supermom replied: I'll have to remember that one for the next 9 weeks!!!
