Ever have one of those days?

stella6979 wrote: where your kids just won't listen to a thing you say and are just absolutely defiant? I know Avery is only 2, but man, I'm so annoyed right now and I feel horrible, cause it seems like all I've done today is yell at her. I just want to cry. bawling.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Don't feel horrible...you are only human. Trust me...alot more of those days are probably to come. Try to just take a mommy time out and remove yourself for a couple minutes to regroup....Maybe go for a 10 minute walk to get some fresh air.

I get that way when aunt flo is almost here....I find that any little thing just turns me into psycho mom. laugh.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Practically every day is one of those days around here. rolleyes.gif dry.gif I have been getting headaches every day by 10 am from the stress of it.

stella6979 replied:
I'm guessing AF is on her way as it seems everything irritates me around that time. She's just usually such a good girl and today has been absolutely horrible. I guess I shouldn't complain cause these days are not common at all, but for some reason, today has really gotten to me. sad.gif
Thanks for your kind words. hug.gif

lovemy2 replied: Hang in there - we have days like that around here with Olivia - they seem to last 3-5 days once a month wacko.gif wacko.gif

Crystalina replied: Tomorrow is another day. wink.gif All you can do on days like that are breath and go to your happy place. hug.gif hug.gif

moped replied: Is there a mother on the planet that hasn't felt this way??????

MoonMama replied: wavey.gif That would be us today too. bawling.gif hug.gif

I swear I said no, stop, get down, don't hit the dog, you can't ride your hippo down the stairs, be nice, that's not ok, we don't do that, etc. more times then I can count today. wacko.gif wacko.gif

Calimama replied:
Here too. The only thing that makes her happy is being outside and in the pool. Heaven forbid she needs food, clean diaper, a nap. rolleyes.gif

Chiflata2003 replied: I get like that from time to time myself. What helps me is put them to bed early and have a little more "me" time before I head to bed.

A&A'smommy replied: hug.gif hug.gif I hope today was better!!! I think we have all had horrible days like that I know I have and lots of them

stella6979 replied:
Oh yes, much better day today. Thanks everyone!!!

luvmykids replied: I've had lots of those days wacko.gif You're not the only one who feels like they've yelled all day long blush.gif hug.gif

MoonMama replied:
Yeah geez mom how dare you try to give her those things! tongue.gif rolling_smile.gif

Calimama replied:
Yeah I'm SO uncool. rolling_smile.gif

Teesa®© replied: When my children pretty much refuse to listen and just can't play without fighting, I send them on a Treasure Hunt. I just make up stuff as I go along:

Find 1 blue thing.
Find 2 things that use batteries.
Find 4 soft things.
Find 1 large thing.
Find 1 thing made out of wood.
Find 3 things that are magnetic [but they can't be actual magnets].
Find 2 things that have two vowels together in the name.
etc.

If I'm missing things, like mittens, I send them on a Mitten Hunt. They have to go through the WHOLE house and find mittens. If they're playing with cards and lose some, it's a Card Hunt. Every Thursday is Garbage and Recycling Hunt [Friday's garbage day wink.gif ]

Crystalina replied:
Love this!!! thumb.gif

Teesa®© replied: It works great for us biggrin.gif

We do end up with quite a pile of stuff on the floor in the end, but we just have a Reverse Treasure Hunt and put everything back.
