Fabric Softner - What kind do you use.

mckayleesmom wrote: I use all different kinds...but right not I have Snuggle in the blue bottle and I LOVE it. Last night I picked up one of Russells shirts I washed days ago and it still smelled so yummy. I also bought the fabric sheets...I put one in my cuboard where the trash can goes...and it keeps it smelling pretty in there.

Funny thing is...that is not the fabric softner I wanted. I wanted the green bottle, but it was at the very bottom of the stacks of blue. So I just grabbed the blue.

I also like the Downey Jasmine kind in the purple bottle, but they only come in small bottles....and they are $$$$$

Bee_Kay replied: I use all different kinds....

I am a sucker for anything new that comes out smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Me too...but Ive never really used Snuggle...they just got a huge shipment of different snuggle scents....so I have been trying them out....Next up...we might try the orange kind.

coasterqueen replied: I don't use any in the wash anymore. I don't know why, I just stopped buying it. happy.gif I do use some in the dryer on occasion, if I remember to. The dryer sheets I use are usually Target brand.

I still want to try the vinegar in the wash and I just need to go downstairs and get a tennisball out of the game closet to use in the dryer. I'm just lazy. blush.gif

3xsthefun replied: I like to use different kinds of fabric softners also.

Snuggle's Green Burst is my favorite so far.

Bee_Kay replied: Tennis ball in the dryer? I've never heard of that.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I like all the different Snuggle scents, but my favorite is the blue one. smile.gif I used to use Downy, but a few months ago they changed something and now it smells way to strong - to the point of making me sick... even if I use less than half of what you're supposed to.

I think to save money though after my Snuggle is gone I'm going to use white vinegar for awhile instead. wink.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
That was the one I wanted...but couldn't get it..

danahas4monkeys replied: i use the ones with febreeze in them downy i think! they smell awesome. if i remember to use any at all.

mckayleesmom replied:
I bought the sheets like that last time....but they didn't really do a good de staticking my clothes... rolling_smile.gif

coasterqueen replied:
A tennis ball or a dryer ball (can get those at Walmart) are supposed to work just as well as dryer sheets minus the cost the sheets cost.

Bee_Kay replied:
Wow. Learn something new everyday smile.gif

As far as fabric softener/dryer sheets.

On jeans, I use Bounce or Downy dryer sheets.

On towels and other clothes, I like the Downy Simple Pleasures (blue or purple)

Jamison'smama replied: I would love to save money but I am all about the smell. I use downey--usually just the April Fresh scent---I have to match my detergent and fabric softener scents.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I will not ever use anything but Downy concentrated from now on. happy.gif I love it. It smells so good and makes the clothes so soft. love2.gif

fashionmumofboys replied: I alternate between Fleecey and Downey.

I have to say that Downey is my fav. though. The clothes just smell so nice and are so soft.

luvmykids replied: I love the Downy Lavendar and Vanilla but I've been using the infamous vinegar method lately.

Bee_Kay replied: Monica-

How do you like the vinegar method? I haven't tried it yet

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I have been using vinegar for the last couple weeks but I notice no difference between vinegar and nothing. NOw I'm just using it because I bought 2 gallons at Sams and I have nothing else to use 2 gallons of vinegar on.

luvmykids replied:
Thats a bummer, have you tried using more of it in a load? I don't get static and the clothes aren't quite as soft as with softener but still better than nothing, to me at least. And the clothes feel cleaner to me, I guess it's because there isn't any residue that you get from softener.

Barb-As you can see, we have one it works for and one it doesn't. biggrin.gif

Bee_Kay replied: I see that now smile.gif
