Feels like someone just punched me - Bad news re: DH again.

Here come blow #2...
A month ago DH made a remark that he wanted to have one of his testicles removed and maybe he could see about doing it this year since he'll have met his co-pay with insurance. He's always had an abnormal testicle. It didn't descend at birth and when it did there was a vein that was twisted around it. I'm not exactly sure but it never formed correctly and has been hard inside for years. It bothers him sometimes (pain) and I thought he just wanted it removed for that reason.
Last week when we were in the hotel in Paris I saw him get out of the shower and his testicle was HUGE. I couldn't believe how enlarged it was. I asked him about it and he said he told me, speaking of the above conversation.
As you know we came home on Sunday night. Monday DH had surgery to remove more tissue from his back. Tuesday (yesterday) I made him go to the doctor. They are sure it is a tumor of some type. The doctor sent us immediately to the ER to be seen by a urologist. The urologist didn't speak German well at all and didn't speak English so we were all at a loss communication wise.
They did an ultrasound and were telling DH that he was going to be admitted for emergency surgery to be performed either last night or this morning... then this urologist made a call to the chief of urology and told DH he could go home. That we'd be called today to find out when the surgery would be scheduled for. But this bleeping urologist told DH he was 90% sure it was cancer. I (along with a General Surgeon) wanted to smack this doctor because you don't tell a patient that until you have the results in your hands.
So it looks like we're having a second cancer scare within a month and this one is much worse. Please, please keep us in your P&PTs!!!

It's terrifying enough to go through this with lots of support but being so far away from friends and family must make it extra hard. Here's some for you, too!

cameragirl21 replied: prayers coming your way, DeAnn. doctors are often wrong, though, just so you know. i had 2 oncologists and a whole team of regular vets say they were 100% sure my cat had cancer, and they were all wrong. any doc that says he's 90% sure it's cancer with no biopsy or any test results is an @$$ who should lose his medical license imo. take care.
Our Lil' Family replied: Oh DeAnn, I'm so sorry to hear that hun! Don't go by what that bonehead Urologist is saying...just take it one step at a time! Many many prayers for you and your husband!
