Finally .... going to fix the house! - (Opinions needed) :)

MommyToAshley wrote: We finally got everything settled and they are going to replace the siding on our house (from where the tree fell on it) They are going to replace all the siding including gutters and trim because they couldn't match our existing siding... yeah! redbounce.gif

We get to choose whatever color we want, boy this is a tough decision. I like this color called sterling silver.... it's a silver with a slight tint of blue. But, I think it is the same as our neighbor's house. So, we probably shouldn't get that color right? sad.gif DH really likes this light smokey blue... it is pretty too. Ohhhhh... this is going to be a hard decision. The brick on our house is kinda redddish, do you think the blue would match it? Our siding/trim is a white/cream right now, but I am kind of tired of cream and want something different.

chloe&tysmommy replied: ooooh those colors sound really nice and I'm sure it'll look nice with the brick. Maybe they can bring a sample piece of siding so you can see what it looks like with the brick? That would be a hard decision though....good luck!!!

MommyToAshley replied:
We have a sample of all the different colors, that is what is making the decision so hard. Too many choices. hehe

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh boy! I am soooo bad about these kinds of things! I feel for you! Eventually we will change our siding and I will probably go with a cream on ours. But, since that is what you have, I can understand you wanting something different! The blue sounds pretty, but so does the sterling. Would it look too much like your neighbor's house if you went with the sterling?

CantWait replied: I like the sounds of the silver blue. Is your neighbours attached to yours? I don't think that would matter, it's your house not theirs. Just my 2cents.gif smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
This is true. Their house is the same model as ours so we would look like twins. LOL

Actually, they have painted their shutters a light blue and we would paint ours a dark smokey blue grey.... so it might make it different enough.

If we were planning to live here longer, I probably wouldn't care. But, our goal is to move in 4 years, so I don't want to do anything that would discourage anyone from buying the house. And, I am afraid that having two houses look the same in a row would do that. What do you think?

MommyToAshley replied: Here's a link to the colors, although they look different in real life. The sterling is more silver, it looks grey on the web site. And, the mountain blue is the other one we are thinking about but it looks darker on the web site than it does in real life. It's actually lighter and more of a "smokey" color. I also like the Victorian Gray... which in real life it looks like a grey with a hint of mauve.

chloe&tysmommy replied: Ooyee.... now I see why you have a hard time deciding!! The 3 you are thinking about are ALL nice but if you need an opinion mine would be the mountain blue smile.gif JMO!

Good Luck and let us know what you decide on thumb.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I like the mountain blue too..but then the sterling is real pretty too....that does seem like a hard choice!!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Wow I wouldn't know what to do either. But I'm so happy that they are replacing it all. Have fun choosing your colour! thumb.gif

CantWait replied: rolling_smile.gif ok maybe I like the mountain blue better now LOL rolling_smile.gif
All the colours are so pretty I can't decide. Good Luck thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I think we are going with Mountain Blue and white trim... well, at least that is what we decided today. LOL rolling_smile.gif
