Finally have a full time job again!
C&K*s Mommie wrote: I have been going to school for nearly 2 yrs now for medical assisting (basically I'm low paid LPN, except I legally cannot run IV lines here in Florida). Just yesterday I completed the 180 hours of externships needed to fulfill my program req, plus I still need to take the RMA certification exam, and finally I will be able to graduate in Dec. But I was offered a position to work full time at my extern site in the front office! So after nearly 3yrs of being a sahm/student, and working part time at night for a little while I have landed a full time job again. For now, my dh is the sahp during the day since he works at night, we are saving mega bucks by not having to have the girls in childcare over the summer. I figured it would take a month or more to land a job, that seems to be the average for this area. But I have been blessed to work with outstanding people at the family practice I am at, and have outstanding doctors to work under too, plus to have this position come open is a bigtime blessing. I began training yesterday, it is very overwhelming but I take it all moment by moment. Just wanted to share my good news.

C&K*s Mommie replied: thanks you all! Into the fire I went, on yesterday. Being the last day of the month (yesterday the 31st) and having both docs, plus the nurse practioner, and the physicians assistant in office and their patients was hectic. Today (even though it was only a 5hr day) was not so bad. The ladies I work with are very patient and willing to answer all my questions, and that makes for all the better experiences of learning new things.
redchief replied: Wow, Nicole, so many congratulations due!
Congratulations on finishing your degree! Congratulations on the new job so soon, and in a familiar place. Finally, congratulations on finding a job where the first thought on your co-workers' collective minds isn't cutting your throat. Good luck with your new career!!!
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Congratulations, Nicole ! Seems as if your hard work is going to be worth it.
Best of luck to you and your family
