First hair cut?
MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley's hair is starting to get in her eyes. I can comb it to the side or go get it cut. Not sure I can bring myself to cut her bangs yet. LOL
supermom replied: I cut all my kids hair the first time - my oldest DS I never cut again!! His was soooo blonde it really, really showed the scissors marks, and it looked really crappy! The girls, I only cut their bangs (eventually) - we used to put it up in a "top knot" on the top of their heads with the little non-damaging rubber bands when it got too long and got in their eyes.
With Anders, I waited a long, long time (he was SUCH a wiggle worm) before I cut it, and it actually turned out pretty decent. I have only taken him to get his hair cut once by a 'professional' and she butchered it SO bad, I just cut it myself again. He's pretty good, now, if he's in the right mood!
Mommieto2Girls replied: Maddies hair is only about 1/4 of an inch long. Even when it does get long I still won't cut it. I want my girley girl to have long hair.
MomofTay&Sam replied: Sammy has hair hanging in his eyes now. LOL we do the swope over thing but it just goes back. I take my oldest to a barber where he has went for 5 years and the barber is English. I was just telling DH that Sam needs to see Joesph soon. He laughed and said ohhh really. Joesph laughs everytime I come in, I have one blonde and one dark brown boy with curls. He keeps asking when Sammy is going to get that hair out of his eyes. Sam still has a HUGE bald spot, but now that he is sitting up it's like 3 day stuble. hahahha
MomToMany replied: I cut the boys' hair; just grab the clippers and buzz away! But for Hannah's, I probably won'y cut it; I want her to have long hair. Her hair is still too short to cut, although I can tell it's growing!
booey2 replied: We had to cut both the boys hair early. Matthew was at about 8months cause people were saying what a cute little girl i had. NOT. With Thomas it was earlier at about 5-6months, he was born with a full head of hair two weeks before his due date. Now they go to a kids salon and they are great there.
jdkjd replied: Bailey's was just too long. She had also had an eye infection and her bangs would get crusted in with her eyelashes. Ick.
amynicole21 replied: There is some sort of superstition in DH's family that says if you cut a baby's hair before a year they will take longer to begin talking. Because of this there has been a stigma against cutting the hair of the kids in our family before 12mos. We'll probably wait until after a year anyway since Sophia's hair just curls up and needs to fill in a bit more.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Claudia doesn't have enough hair to cut! LOL! It is just short and fuzzy! So cute!

Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin does not have long enough hair to grow, and i want her to have long hair anyway. When her hair is long enough for a trim I will probably let my sister (she cuts hair for a living) cut it, if she is good! heheh
mummyof2boyz replied: Hayden is a baldy. It is so cute. He is starting to get the hair now. Sometimes I wish he would stay bald. It is just so cute. I cut Logans hair. I just get the buzzers out. I have to keep it buzzed now because if I let it grow to long his hair sticks up on the back of his head. It looks terrible when it gets long.
~CrazieMama~ replied: I do not plan on cutting my daughter's hair. I want her to have long hair. It curls in the back when it is wet. It's cute. I just pull it up on the top of her head to keep it out of her eyes.
