Well it was in our front yard last night And if this wind doesnt stop blowing were going to have alot more water tonight. John was coming home from work last night and coming off of Sea Isle's bridge into town we have a stretch of road with all rocks and the waves from the Ocean were coming over them and smashing down on his car. Not a good thing.
I took pic of the flooding but I have to get Ed to load them on his lap top.
mammag replied: That sounds like a major pain in the bottom! Hopefully the wind will settle down so it doesn't get worse.
redchief replied: Pix from flooding last night
That's a street... made it as bright as I could.
redchief replied: This is the main county road through town (and our front yard). If you look in the middle left of the picture, you'll see the street sign. If you look REALLY close you can see the double yellow traffic lines about 1/2 foot below the water.
redchief replied: Another, better picture of the main road out front. Don't the traffic lights reflect nicely off the water?
JAYMESMOM replied: I am sorry to hear. I hope the winds stop blowing and the water goes away.
A&A'smommy replied: OMG I'm sorry!!
My2Beauties replied: Sorry that is the pits Ed and Lisa! Hope everything dries up soon!
3_call_me_mama replied: Sorry to hear about hte flooding, it can be really devastating. Hope it settles soon,
My inlaws live in Scituate Ma and for the last few days they have had severe coastal flooding, they recently sold DH's grandmothers estate house (about 3 weeks ago) adn it's right on the ocean (like 500 feet from the seawall. ) anyway, the guy who bought the house and just moved in last friday was flooded out, lost 2 cars and most of his stuff. They are so relieved that they sold when they did cause they have spent WAY to many years repairing adn replacing form floods.
ions_momma replied: Im sorry to hear about all the flooding!
MommyToAshley replied: Oh my, that picture is just crazy!!!
I am sorry. I hope the winds stop and the waters go back out to sea where they belong! Sending some "stay dry" vibes!!!
redchief replied: Update.
Tidewater finally stayed where it's supposed to today; in the bay. Unusual to have a tide this high in the beginning of summer. Usually only the locals have to deal with it. This week though is the beginning of tourist season. There were at least 100 tourist vehicles destroyed by the flooding these last two nights. One was our seasonal neighbor whom we told to move her car... Nice little Acura... totalled. She just doesn't know it yet.
