For those with daughters

mckayleesmom wrote: Brandi got me thinking...How do your girls like to dress??..Are they girly girls? Tomboys? Or a combination?

McKaylee is definantly a combination...She likes it all. She can have the most beautiful dress on and top it off with a bass pro shop hat that her daddy bought her....in pink... rolling_smile.gif It makes me cringe when she tops off a dress with a baseball cap, but I let her do it.... rolling_smile.gif

Nina J replied: Emily is a tom boy sometimes, she prefers to wear shorts rather than dresses, but she also likes to dress up and be girly sometimes. She also likes trains, trucks, and cars. She has all of these toys trucks and cars and a train track, but then on the other side of the room she has care bears and strawberry shortcake dolls.
So I'd say she is a combination, she can spend hours outside in the dirt with her trucks, or she can spend hours playing dress ups and pretending she's Miss Universe happy.gif

edited because it didn't make sense smile.gif

Momof3inMe replied: Emily is very easy going with what ever she wears as long as she is the one to dress herself. I can't waite for sun dresses and skirts this spring and summer.

3xsthefun replied: Both of my girls are pretty easy going. They will wear whatever I pick out for them to wear.

luvbug00 replied: Mya's flexable she wears what she wants and it's probaly concidered more girly. mostly what's hi[ thease days.. basic jeans and tees...
we shop at the CP and Gap but mostly target and hot topic online...

Bee_Kay replied: Ash is 14.
Her style of clothing is also very flexible.
One day, it's jean and teeshirt, the next it a sweatshirt, then out of the blue she dresses in a nice blouse and slacks.

She is really a tomboy deepdown, but on the surface she is a girly girl.

She mostly shops at also Hot Topic and Gap, but also Aero and Abercrombie and Fitch.... She also like some Old Nacy. she found another store she likes, it's called Wet Seal. She says it's "cool" LOL!

coasterqueen replied: Kylie is a lot like McKaylee is. She's sure got her own way of dressing, that's for sure. happy.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
I LOVE that store....I use to shop there all the time when I could still fit in their clothes rolling_smile.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Maddie is a girly girl. happy.gif

luvmykids replied: Kylie has two modes, girly girl and cowgirl. It's either a dress or skirt (combined with who knows what!) or her rodeo shirts, jeans, boots and buckle. There is no in between, no shorts, no cute capris, no nothing like that.

Macie is just starting to show preferences, but she's pretty tomboyish. She gets a kick out of frilly dresses but daily she likes jeans and t shirts.

C&K*s Mommie replied: the girls are easy going with dress styles like I am. I prefer to wear jeans and t-shirts most of the time, and I love to get dressed up when appropiate. They are the same. For church I may have them dressed simple, or very nice. For everyday wear, they are dressed to the weather here at the house, and depending on where we are going they may be dressed up or dressed decent. Right now they do not care to pick out their own clothes, one day they we will though.

MamaJAM replied: Well - DD#1 is total tom-boy....DD#2 is total girly-girl....DD#3 is a combo of both. But -- that doesn't really affect they way they dress because we have a strict dress-code in our family.

The girls wear skirts every day -- all skirts must be mid-calf or longer (at the _shortest_ 3 inches below the knee, while sitting).
They have a bit more freedom when it comes to tops...nothing revealing -- no v-necks (unless there is another shirt underneath) and definately no tank-tops (all shirts must have sleeves that go at least 2 inches over the shoulder). They definately express themselves with their tops - through the sayings on them...or frilly sleeves...or colors (DD#1 is into black lately - the other girls like brighter stuff).

My3LilMonkeys replied: Madison for now wears whatever I put her in and doesn't seem to have a preference.

Brooke is mainly girly. I love putting her in dresses and she loves that she can run around with bare legs. But she'll pretty much wear whatever if I pick her clothes out.

Both my girls don't like their hair put up though. sad.gif Brooke has beautiful, long hair that looks so cute in pigtails or braided, but whenever I put it up she pulls the hairties out.

Kaitlin'smom replied: deffinalty ALL girl she LOVES and I mean LOVES pink very rarly will I get to dress her in other clothes. heck the only way to get her out of her nightgown on weekends is to put her in a dress. laugh.gif

mummy2girls replied: jenna is a girly girl for sure!!!!!!!!

aspenblue1 replied: Isabella does both.

redchief replied: Erin is fairly girly, unless she's mad, at which point she can stand toe to toe with anyone, male or female.

Kaitlin is all tomboy, all the time. She likes cargo pants and hoodies.

~~*Missi*~~ replied: Sabrina is both. TomBoy and GirlyGirly.
I want her to be that way at least until she can decide!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: love2.gif Claudia is my little princess and she loves to wear dresses and anything pink or purple. Emily on the other hand, hated to wear dresses and still to this day refuses to wear a dress. Whenever we would put one on her as a toddler she would pull it up over her head. laugh.gif

Brias3 replied: Aliyah's a little of both too. She likes dresses and "girly" stuff but is so picky about textures lately that she will often just bypass a shirt that I KNOW she likes and picks something plain out just because it doesn't itch or bother her. She's funny though. Just the other day, I was weeding through her closet so she could try on some of her summer things (we're going down to Miami in a couple of weeks) from last year and I started a pile to give away. Of course, she fought tooth and nail with everything I was going to put in the pile even though I KNOW she won't wear it rolleyes.gif

USMCwife replied: Eden is mostly a girly girl, but she has her days that she likes to wear jeans and a camoflauge shirt.
But most of all she loves her dresses and sandals.

A&A'smommy replied: alyssa likes both things but mostly she loves a dress and she is SUCH a shoe girl she LOVES shoes.
