Frozen paypal account....what?
MoonMama wrote: I bought something on ebay about a month ago and never got it. Paid for insurance/tracking number and all that jazz. The person never emailed me and I emailed her like 10 times. She doesn't sell many items at a time so not like she had too many emails to go threw, KWIM? Anyway I made a claim and I guess she is disputing it swearing up and down she sent it and it says it was delivered to me according to the tracking number. And yet she can't seem to produce a tracking number for me or paypal. Apparently because of this my account is frozen meaning I can't use it until the dispute is over? WHAT?!?!?! I am so ticked right now. I had to email someone I bought something else from on ebay who only accepts paypal as payment and tell them I wasn't aware of this until I went to pay them. Thankfully this guy was a sweetheart about the whole thing and is letting me send him a money order. I was on the phone with paypal earlier for almost a hour and a half!
A&A'smommy replied: OMG I WOULD BE LIVID!!!!! that is awful I hope they fix the problem and realize that she didn't send the item!!!
mckayleesmom replied: that is cruddy. I hope she has to give you your $ back
Calimama replied: Ugh why should YOU get punished? I hope they unfreeze it for you soon!!
MoonMama replied: My thought exactly.
msoulz replied: Can you start another Paypal account, perhaps in DH's name? Just a thought.
MoonMama replied: No, we have all our cards on one account. And even though its different cards it wont let me use any, the whole account is frozen.
luvbug00 replied: i would tell paypal to give this woman a time limit on her responce.I wouls say "I want the tracking number i want proof of drop off and if it neede to be signed for i want who signed it. I want the date of shipping out and claimed recipet." They should then force her to pay you back and if not penalty of lawful action by them. ( she not only ruining her name but theirs and yours) We had an issue like this. Do you have the tracking number? ( she should have sent you a tracking number with your final notice that the idem had been shipped, if she didn't she is a louse!) I would go as high up in the paypal "government" as you can. Witch and moan until you get your money back. They (in my experience) have been pretty good with getting the problem solved.
msoulz replied: So it is "smart" enough to check to see if that card has been used elsewhere? That's pretty impressive, but a bummer for you.
Nina J replied: Are you 100% sure she isn't telling the truth? She may have sent the item. Although, judging by the fact she never responded to you emails, I guess there is something going on. Although, maybe if she did send it, she figured she wouldn't respond because she thought you would get the item any day?
I have been in a similar situation, although I didn't have my paypal account frozen, so it isn't totally similar. I brought an item from the UK, and from prior experience, mail should have gotton to me within 2 weeks, at the most. So, after 4 weeks and nothing, I made the dispute thingy on paypal. I never got a reply from the people, but I did get my item. They never mailed it until I made the dispute
I hope you get your items. I hate ebay users who screw you around.
My3LilMonkeys replied: They do - 20 days. We were involved in a dispute last month (DH was the seller, buyer claims a HDMI cable was missing when received). Paypal freezes both accounts for 20 days or until sufficient evidence is provided by one side to resolve the dispute. Since the other party holds all the evidence, unfortunately you probably will have to wait the full time.
lisar replied: If she cant give them a tracking a # then they should give you your money back. I hate PAYPAL and refuse to use them.
sparkys2boys replied: Oh that sucks, I hope they get it figured out soon
MoonMama replied: Well both myself and paypal have asked her for the tracking number and she can't seem to come up with it. So sounds fishy to me.
I think I'm going to end up waiting the whole 20 days before I can use it again too.
