Does the Tooth Faerie do raincheques?????
moped replied: Ha, I have lots here.......
Celestrina replied: I think I have some hidden away from my last visit to Montreal (I live in the States, my best friend lives in Canada).
Teesa®© replied: Well, DH is home and we pooled our money. It's all in quarters DS thinks they're worth $5 anyway
Sheesh! 3 teeth within two weeks.... he'd better NOT lose any more for a while!!!
Calimama replied: What's a toony?
Teesa®© replied: We don't have bills for $1 or $2 anymore. $1 have been coins since the early 90's or so. We call our $1 coins Loonies because the Loon is our National bird and they have a Loon on them. 2's are Toonies because "too" - "two" and Polary just sounds dumb [they have a Polar Bear on them].
If you want to see them, Canadian Loony and Toony. It's got all our coins on it.
Calimama replied: Ohh cool! Learn something new everyday!
sparkys2boys replied: Us silly canadians huh..lol
Insanemomof3 replied: You know what? I actually have a toony...LOL I got it as a "tip" at the hotel i was working at in North Dakota! I could send it
msoulz replied: My nine year old is still holding on to his teeth! Perhaps I should gather some toonys for him - that would blow his mind!
Oh, Loony and Toony are WAY more fun than one dollar and two dollars (adequately descriptive but boring!). But shouldn't you have said "us silly canadians eh"??
Kirstenmumof3 replied: That's cute! I remember leaving a tip at a resturant in the US and I watched as we were leaving to see the look on the waiters face, well he picked it up and had no clue what it was!
sparkys2boys replied: eh.. u callin us silly huh??? EH EH EH???
msoulz replied: LOL, no way, I have total respect for our friends to the north - and east, since I live near Detroit!
msoulz replied: Poor guy, probably thought you stiffed him with some game place tokens or something!!
Teesa®© replied: Way fun?? I guess you've never had a pocket full of change, eh??
Personally, I think changing all our bills into coins is a government conspiracy to weigh down our pants and embarrass us in public because our pants fall down.
