cameragirl21 replied: oh gosh, I'm so afraid of heights, I would have been miserable in those ski lift like things, especially if the go backwards, which is what it looked like in the pics...my knees literally shook looking at some of those pics. But the scenery was to die for, I had the urge to go hiking just looking at the pics. And it looks like everyone had fun. Who are the bride and groom...friends of yours?

How was Dollywood?

Yes, the groom is a friend of ours that lives here in Ohio. I didn't bring my good camera to the wedding, so the quality wasn't as good on those pics. It was a beautiful wedding though, very intimate as the chapel only seats 50 people.

Dollywood is great! It's got a little something for everyone -- tons of rides for the big and little kids and lots of shows. The best part was that boat ride with the water guns (there were a ton of those pictures from that ride). By-standers can crank this handle and shoot water at people on the slow moving boat, but the people on the boat can shoot back. We had a huge war -- girls vs the guys. Ashley loved this ride and rode it over and over again... she was soaked.

They were getting ready for skii season when we were there. I don't know how to skii but they were getting these trails set up for snow tubing (I guess that's what you'd call it) -- it looked like so much fun that I want to go back in the winter.

I'm glad you had a great time. My favorite pic is of Rod and Ashley dancing. She is getting so big!

Are you talking about the one where she is spinning around or where he is holding her and they are dancing? They are both among my favorite pictures, but the ones where he is holding her and dancing holds special meaning because of the story behind it. They both "secretly" requested the DJ to play Butterfly Kisses for the other one. So, when the song started playing, they both headed for each other and the dance floor. Then, other fathers and daughters joined in too, but I thought it was really cute and sweet that they had both requested that song. Ashley also requested "Help Pour out the rain" because they always sing that song as a duet.
