A little over a week ago, our power went out for almost two full days. We had to throw all our food out and I had just gone to the grocery. Well, our power went out for most of the night last night... and guess where I had just been.

If you lose power like that so often, maybe you should look into getting a small generator - just large enough to run the fridge, at least.

Kaitlin'smom replied: dang that stinks, depending on the ammount you spent to replace the first time, you might check and see if you homeowers insurance covers power inturruption. However it might not be worth it to file a claim just something to consider if you spend alot replacing the food.

That happened once to us when we lived with my in-laws. We lost power for a WEEK!
