GUESS WHAT TRIPP - DID TONIGHT!!!!!
mom2tripp wrote: Sal and I have not been trying to potty train Tripp bc I think it's too early JMHO---anyhow I do take him into the bathroom with me when I go and tell him that mommy is going peepee, and he does have a little potty. Well for the past couple of days he's been going into the bathroom, putting the seat up on his potty, and sitting on it. So tonight when I saw him trying to go #2 I took him into the bathroom and sat him on the potty, he thought it was funny and kept going from the bathroom to the living room. HE POOPED ON THE SEAT OF THE POTTY!!!!!! We couldn't believe it, we clapped and sang for him and even VIDEOTAPED it, I know I know we're crazy---anyway just thought I'd share
Mommy2Isabella replied: AWW congrats! I have read in some books that you let them tell you when they are ready to go. Then again I think some children may wait until they are 10 - 11 to be READY .. especially if you don't at least encourage it a little!

mom2tripp replied: Thanks everyone. I don't think we're anywhere close either Rae--I think he just enjoys sitting on his potty
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Great job! Alex lets me know every once in a while when he has to go potty and we make a big deal of him peeing on the potty and being a big boy. But we don't push the issue of only using the potty.
Bee_Kay replied: WOW! WTG Tripp!!
My dh and I were the same way when our children started the potty business!
