Gardasil

A&A'smommy wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gCVCP8BFrU&feature=related

I haven't seen or heard anything about gardasil on the news but someone posted something on fb and I checked it out. This is crazy and THIS is why we NEVER get vaccines that haven't been out long, and why we do our research.

Please SIGN the petition, I think the FDA needs to be investigated, they seem to be cutting a lot of corners and not doing right here lately.

ZandersMama replied: that is sad! i bet the makers of the vaccine, who know the side effects, are not getting THEIR daughters vaccinated. growl.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: I had heard that there were side effects from this vaccine. I think the vaccine makers will just chalk this poor woman up to one of the "very few" people who will get adverse effects...
I am not against vaccines, I am against being forced to get vaccines, and I am against the makers of these vaccines, not taking the time to really test these out before they are given to our poor children..

I hope people take a second look at the swine vaccine before they just accept it.

bluebear replied: I couldn't read the article, but I watched the video. I'd rather get the illness than have the vaccine. Honest truth.

This is one of HUNDREDS on youtube thats not including on other sites.

Nina J replied: You would rather get cervical cancer? If my daughters want the gardasil vaccine, they can get it. They'll be older then so they can decide for themselves. I donate to charity's to try and find a cure for cancer. And while this is not a cure, but rather something that can prevent cancer, I say well done. Not try again until you get it perfect and no one reacts badly. What's going to happen if (and hopefully when) they make a vaccine against cancer? Are people going to refuse it because they're unsure, wait 10 years so they can see what happens to other people? Read all the horror stories of the people that react badly, etc? Nothing is perfect. Maybe one day they can make vaccines with no side effects, but most medications have side effects. I don't know. I think a lot of it is just fear. Todays society just seems to be so oriented around fear. Sure, a vaccine could kill you or something. Then again, it could prevent the disease that could kill you, or your child. There is a small chance my kid or myself will react to a vaccine, but then again there is a chance myself or one of my children (god forbid) could trip tomorrow, hit our head and die. I do think you should do your research and not just go with what you're told. I guess it just comes own to how you interpret it. And if you don't want vaccines, that is fine. I don't think anyone should force people to. I am not opposed to vaccines and I think if you choose not to vaccinate, more power to you. Do what you think is right.

A&A'smommy replied:
I'm NOT against vaccines so don't get me wrong. This vaccine has TONS of side effects and most of them are lifelong and deadly, its killing more woman and teenagers then its actually helping. This vaccine protects against the HPV virus which is a sexually transmitted disease that can causes cervical cancer it only causes cancer in about 10% of woman that go without treatment.

We will take our chances with this one.

bluebear replied:
I don't get why you're getting so angry with my own opinion??? lol I guess I haven't done any research, since I did state in my post if I did or not.
But yeah, sorry I'd rather lose all my hair and get all those cancer side effects LATER ON IN LIFE than not be able to walk or talk right in the next 6 months from a $200 shot that's new on the market. wink.gif

I'm sorry everybody in the world is different!!! my fault!

Nina J replied:
I wasn't getting angry at you. Why would I be angry at you?
I was just trying to say, you don't want cancer. I can see how I was a bit harsh though, my apologies. I lost a friend to cancer this past June, and believe me. You do not want it. And you don't want the vaccine either, I can understand that. I don't hold anything against you for it.
But I just disagreed with you saying you would rather get cancer than the vaccine, because nobody wants cancer. It is brutal, it's not just hair loss and other side effects. It can put you in the ground and before it does strip you of everything. And at the same time, no one wants to react badly to a vaccine.

We never want anything bad to happen to us, or our kids, or our families. It doesn't always work out like that, sadly. But no, I would never get angry at you for an opinion you hold. Because we are all different, it'd be very boring if we were all the same.

I think that it will be interesting to see the cancer rates amongst vaccinated people vs. non-vaccinated people in a few decades.

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
I wouldn't want cancer, but this vaccine only prevents the STD that causes a certain type of cervical cancer. IMO the better choice is to teach our daughters abstinence, and avoid STD's altogether. I know there is a chance that I could end up with cancer someday, but it won't be because I didn't get a shot - I'm certainly not planning on getting any sexually transmitted diseases, with or without a vaccine!

redchief replied: I'm all for anything that reduces cancer, but it can't cause its own set of adverse conditions. I don't know what the problems with the vaccine are, or even whether there are problems, but the statistics certainly seem to suggest that the product needs to be looked at very closely. I signed the petition.

A&A'smommy replied:
I completely and 100% agree!!

Nina J replied: I agree about abstinence. That is the route I would prefer my daughters to take. I don't want to think to the teenage years laugh.gif It seems to me like teens have become so sex oriented, it's downright scary.

And I do agree that the vaccine needs to be looked at, its best to make sure it's safe. I know my neice got the vaccine last year, I remember her saying that each needle hurts more than the last, because you have to get three of them. The government was giving it to kids at school if there parents agreed - my neice went to the doctors though because she doesn't like needles tongue.gif . But, she never mentioned anyone reacting or anything. She didn't react, she just said it was painful.
