Gas prices
Our Lil' Family wrote: So how low are they where you are?
Here in Baton Rouge they are as low as $1.94, that's what I paid on Saturday...could be even lower today, not sure.
stella6979 replied: About the same here in Detroit, Michigan. I love that I can put $25.00 in and have a full tank!!!! I still have a feeling it's going to come back and bite us in the butt though.
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
I took this on Saturday, but I have friends who have seen it as low as $1.69 in town.
ZandersMama replied: 88 cents a litre here the other day, not sure what that is per gallon though
BAC'sMom replied: Last time I looked 1.79
my2monkeyboys replied: I paid as low as $1.69 2 days ago, but that was at the "low price station" -- most of the rest were around 10 cents higher.
Kaitlin'smom replied: the lowest in southern ohio I saw near dayton, oh was 1.77 this morning.
my last fill up lasted me 2 weeks! I am so happy about that, I will be filling up tonight on the way home.
luvmykids replied: $1.99 in town, it's still $2.29 by me though I think it's because we're off the interstate and they know people driving through will pay it.
Calimama replied: It was $2.29 here last night. I haven't seen it this morning.
Swood75 replied: $1.86 here...It made my day when I filled up my car for $23 the other day compared to about $45 or $50 a while back..
youngmomofone replied: On post it is 1.99 but in town it's 2.19-2.29 still.
lisar replied: 1.99 here.
DVFlyer replied: Why is it that gas in the middle of the country is cheaper than the gas right on the coast... where the oil comes in... where it would need to be trucked as far.... so it should be cheaper....
$2.30 or so here still.
moped replied: Quite low here........79 cents/litre, not sure of the conversion
Our Lil' Family replied: Tell me about it....I live within 20 miles of 3 refineries and North Texas is cheaper!
moped replied: I work in the industry and still don't really understand that - perhaps i should ask one of these guys!
Mommy2Isabella replied: I passed the RaceWay or RaceTrack station while running errands they are typically the lowest it was right at $1.92 Which is SUPERB by me!
The prices will go back up though. Opec is shutting down production which will increase demand but the supply will be down, so it will drive prices back up when .. I don't know ...
Our Lil' Family replied: Actually Opec is "suggesting" companies to stop production....but many companies are not, which I'm not opposed to!
lovemy2 replied: Its still about 2.45 at most places here - the "cheap" stations are probably 2.20 or so.
DillsMommy replied: It's $1.88 our exit and $2.19 at a shell station one more exit up from us. It's been slowly going up again over the last few days.
My3LilMonkeys replied: We are at 2.14 and still slowly dropping....I'll be happy to see it hit $1.99.
3xsthefun replied: Between $2.17 - $2.36
Kentuckychick replied: I paid $1.65 the other day with my 10 cent discount at Kroger and BOY did it feel good
Also, to answer the earlier question, as I understand it, the big part of the reason that gas is cheaper inland is because the demand for gas is lower.
