Gavin's birthday is MONDAY!! - Please pray things go well w/ induction

I just couldn't turn it down. I'm a little nervous but I know everything will be okay. It's really important for me to have my mom w/ me during delivery and inducing would allow that. Also Jerimiah's company is doing pretty bad right now because of a downed satellite so he really can't just take off when I hit labor now. So this will allow them to arrange for someone else to work so he can be there!

Plus I'll feel so much better about getting my GBS meds.

Please pray everything goes okay and that I don't end up w/ a c-section or have something go wrong. I just want everything to turn out alright. I have this huge fear of going home w/o a baby...whether I'm inducing or not. I just love him so much!!

Thanks ladies...I hope you are all doing great. I won't be on much the next couple days...will be resting up!!

PLEASE pray things go fine! I hear pitocin is so awful, it's scaring me.

Boys r us replied: HOW EXCITING!!!!!!! I don't know how you're dealing with this...lol..when they induced me with Braedon, I went in for my apt BEGGED to be induced, the dr agreed and told me to be at the hospital at 6am the NEXT morning! I couldn't sleep or concentrate on anything, I was a WRECK!!! So bless your heart, I don't know how in the world you're dealing so well with knowing your baby is coming, but having to wait several days to do it! Hey..maybe you'll go on your own before then!!

jcc64 replied: I've been wondering how you've been doing. It's silly for me to tell you not to be nervous, so I won't. But I wouldn't invest too much energy worrying about pitocin or a c-section. There are plenty of women right here on this board who survived one or both, and in the end all that will matter to you is that little baby who's about to be in your arms.

I was induced with Blakely and that seemed like the longest weekend of my life LOL! I couldn't hardly sleep the night before and then I woke up like 5 hours early HAHA! Its going to be great.

My2Beauties replied: Oh yeah I bet you are so excited, you finally get to hold your little baby!!! Well I've heard both sides of the story when it comes to being induced, I think it all depends on your doctor and the staff at the hospital to be honest. I was put on a pitocin drip and I didn't get induced, most women do and as long as you've had your epidural it's not bad, at least it wasn't for me, so I hope that un-scares you LOL! You'll be fine and we can't wait to see pics of Gavin!

Stacimonkey replied: Hey there! Just wanted to say that we'll be thinking about you!! I had my little girl in January and was close to being induced! She came the day before lol, I lucked out! Maybe if you are dilated enough so that they can break your water, you won't need pitocin! Believe me, that's what got me rollin with Chloe! Hoping for a quick labor for you! GOOD LUCK!

MomofJandB replied: How exciting! We'll be thinking about you! I was induced with both my kids and loved it! It was great to schedule DH's day as well as have my DD taken care of when my DS was born. No middle of the night phone calls to anyone! I also had the house clean, laundry done and grocery shopping taken care of! All i had to worry about was the baby!!! I agree, too, with having your water broken. My kids were stubborn until they finally did that! After that, they beared down and came within an hour or two! I dilated with my first 6cm in 45 minutes because of that! I hope everything goes well and that Gavin arrives quickly and safely! Can't wait to hear about everything! Good luck!

I'm a lot less nervous than I was about the induction now. But of course still nervous. I just want him to be fine and as long as he is, then so will I.

I'm getting the house ready for him as we speak. Cleaned a lot yesterday and throughout the night and I still have to do the kitchen and his bathroom and hang his clothes back up from when I packed his stuff up after that huge argument...lol...GOD why did I do that??? More stuff to do!

So I'm pretty busy for a little while today and then going to sleep and lay in bed until tomorrow and await the call from L&D to come in and have Gavin!!! Yeah!!

I'll update you all when I can. Think of us tomorrow! It will be a big help!!
