Girl Name - Which spelling do you prefer?

cameragirl21 replied: i like both spellings but if you're gonna call her Katie then better to go with the traditional spelling otherwise she'll be correcting people trying to spell her name for the rest of her life.
i once knew a girl named Catherine who still went by Katie...so that's a possibility too.

Our Lil' Family replied: I voted Katherine Grace but only because you are calling her Katie and I think Catie would be mispronounced a lot. I actually prefer spelling Catherine with a C....guess I shouldn't have voted though! LOL

"But my name starts with a B not a W") Then I read your note. I should have done that first! The initial thing is always nice to match up But not necessary. What do you like best?

DillsMommy replied: Very cute to have the same initials as DH. I think I like it spelled better with a K though. Especially if she goes by Katie. I've know people that spell it with a C and go by Cathy. Katie is much cuter IMO.

Nina J replied: Katherine. Catherine is nice, but if it's shortened to Katie or Kate, I prefer it with a K. I can't stand spelling Kate with a C. My eldest daughter's middle name is Kate, DH wanted it with a C but I told him it was either with a K or it wasn't going to be Kate at all.

I love the nickname Katie, I call Emily Katie all the time.

Bamamom replied: Thanks for all the replies guys. We have long said we'd go with Katherine Grace and call her Katie Grace but then we noticed the initials thing and its so tempting to do that cutesie thing ya know
