Girl scout cookies - Which is your favorite??

stella6979 replied: I'm a BIG fan of dipping my cookies in milk until they get soggy, and I also love peanut butter so my favorites are the tagalongs. I also like the plain old shortbread cookies too.
Our Lil' Family replied: I think they are called Tag-a-longs...they used to be peanut butter patties.
ETA: A close second is the Thin Mints...but they have to be COLD!

I like Thin Mints a bunch (I like to suck the chocolate off of the "cookie"), but I think the plan ol' trifolds are the best. Least favorite are the samoas (don't like coconut). All together we've purchased 15 boxes  We've only eaten a few. And of course I always share!

jcc64 replied: The Samosas are other-worldly good, but you can practically taste the hydrogenated oil or whatever horrible ingredient it is that makes them taste so good.

stella6979 replied: Ok, now I'm confused. I chose tagalongs, but I think I may have the names wrong. Are the oatmeal cookies with the peanut butter in them the tagalongs or the do-si-dos? Whichever ones those are is what I meant to choose.

ooh and you're pregnant too - RUN to the store and buy the ice cream, you wll die!! LOL I called DF after this post and asked him to bring some home from his work, if they have it  hey, it's only been 9 weeks post-partum, I can still claim I have cravings, right?!

We have Thin Mints, Caramel Delights, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbreads, Lemon Pastry Cremes, and probably a few others.....I've never heard of all those kinds!!

you still get the lemmon ones?! they discontinued them here.  not that I could eat them anyway... but I could SMELL them. Which is my new way of enjoying the foods taht are forbidden to me. DH hates it when I smell his food before I give it to him. 
BabyOwen427 replied: I voted for Samoas.  My favorite used to be Thin Mints but lately (I think this year) they changed the recipe to remove Trans Fats and I don't think they taste as good.

I was all confused at first and had to read through several other posts before I deciphered which cookies were which...
I guess they are just called different things in different states or parts of the country. Here in Kentucky we call them Peanut Butter Patties and Carmel Delights as well (+ all those other names you mentioned  )
Plain n' simple I say... the cookie's name should tell you pretty much exactly what the cookie is!
All Y'all are just getting too confusing with your high falootin' cookie names!! 
But to answer the question "Peanut Butter Patties" are my favorite with frozen Thin Mints coming in a close second.
Our Lil' Family replied: Several years ago they decided to change the names of the cookies. I thought it was nationwide? It still confuses me but the cookies are still the same! MMMMMMM
msoulz replied: I am pleased to say that I hunted down a girl scout yesterday and got my Tagalongs (or peanut butter patties as they are also called!).
Cookies for dinner - it's great to be an adult!!!
