Girl's Night Out

I can't remember the last time I went out without the kids, but I'm needing this really bad. We are going to a Greek restaurant and will try to catch a movie afterwards.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Nicole you are so right. Every single time I make plans they get cancelled or Scotty spoils it for me. He doesn't realize what he is doing and I know that. And he doesn't understand that I need time away every now and then. I think he understood perfectly after we got off the phone last night. He finally got home, but by the time we were able to meet, the Greek place wasn't serving anymore (they close early...it's just a little shop) And we ended up going to a fish market/grill/bar. We had a lot of fun. We just sat and talked, we shut the restaurant down then sat in her car and talked more. It was 1:30 by the time I got home.

I slept like a baby and woke up in a GREAT mood, I've been loving on the kids all morning, we went to the gym, I called Scotty...he was in a good mood. I think this did us all some good.

I just wish he was a bit more sympathetic and understanding when it comes to my wants and needs. Maybe from now on he will be better about it.
