ETA I'm just curious... how did you find out he needed glasses? I've always wondered b/c I got glasses when I was 7 and the dr. told me then that I should have had them for 3-4 years before that but I didn't know that I couldn't see well, KWIM? I thought everybody saw things all fuzzy like that.

BrookeandMadisonsmom~my 15 mo old nephew just got glasses. He had an obvious crossed eye so they knew he eye problems. If you have eye problems in your family you should have an evaluation done by a optomotrist who has pediatric equipment. They can actually evaluate eye problems as young as 6 months. Amazing how far that stuff has come!

Well and I still feel some what stupid for this but how we found out.....We found out becuase I had noticed his left eye seemed to be acting funny like lazy eye type of thing. So I took him in and sure enough he couldn't really see which was the reason for his left eye doing that. He couldn't see great out of both eyes but his left was the worst.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: OMG he is so cute!! Is it strabismus?? Where one eye turns in causing the eye to not focus..therefore not seeing well. I have it, but my eyesight is surprisingly pretty good!

No DH and I both have bad eye sight and wear glasses/contacts so I'm guessing he just gets it from us. But he does have a bit of lazy eye in the left one but the eye doc. said because we cought it now it should be ok.

my mom was adamant i get my kids' eyes tested at about 1yo because of my sister. they didn't find out til she was 5yo that she needed them and would never keep them on. now she is nearly blind in one eye and it could have been fixed if they caught it earlier.

I prefer his looks with glasses now..he is too cute. Everyone used to say.. Hey he looks like the Kid from Jerry McGuire... in which Tanner learned to replay.. Show me the Money! lol

Tanner has poor vision and is legally blind. But he started wearing his glasses so young.. that he refuses to NOT wear them.. he knows where they are at every minute...

I think he looks cute.. and best of luck with the new specks..
