Going to be away for a bit

coasterqueen wrote: I'm going to be away for a bit. I don't know how long, maybe just today, maybe longer. I'm in a really negative place right now with my job and I just can't be chipper. sad.gif I'll still lurk, I'm just not going to post and bring anyone else down.

My boss still has not explained to me WHY he doesn't feel I deserve that bonus/raise. I even in a round-about way asked how the rest of the budget discussion went and if they made any other decisions on raises because I knew I hadn't found out his yet. Do you know what he said? He said he doesn't remember what they gave him, but he remembers saying thanks. WTF???? He said the same thing last year and got a 8% raise and a $15,000 bonus. How in the #(*&$)#(* can you NOT remember getting such a big raise and a HUGE bonus???? I think people like him need to burn in h-e-double hockey sticks!!!!! mad.gif

The first thing he said when he came in to work this morning was "I don't want to be corny and send out the email so can you send one out telling everyone the big nomination I got last week". I barfed the entire time I was typing that email because that BIG nomination he got just makes more work for me..not him. mad.gif And everyone is emailing back saying how great it is for him, blah blah...... puke.gif puke.gif puke.gif

I want to just tell him how I feel for not getting the raise/bonus and how I feel about him not saying anything but I guess I can't if I want to remotely have the possibility to have my job when I get back from maternity leave.

I just want to curse and cry at the same time. Sorry I ended up being negative here anyways.

((HUGS)) to you all and hopefully my negativity will go away soon so I can participate more. sad.gif

Mommy2BAK replied: I don't really know the words to say to make you feel better but I am really sorry. Your boss sounds like a total Jack @$$. Do you really like your job that much, if they are going to treat you so badly could you find another job? I know that is probally unrealistic but I am just trying to help you out. I wish I knew the right words to say right now but I don't. WE LOVE YOU, and want you to come back and post soon, thats okay that you are in a bad mood, you just need a way to let it out so you can confide in us, and let us try to help you feel better! smile.gif

Just let us know how your doing later on.

mammag replied: I hope you feel better soon. Don't worry about getting negative. We all need to vent sometimes.

I hate bosses like that. I quit a few jobs because of people like that.

Keep your chin up.

Kaitlin'smom replied: oh Karen I am so sorry you have to deal with this stuff. (((BIG HUGS))) I totaly know how you fel about being negative, thats why I have not been around as much, not to mention I am working to help get the numbers we need for the end of year so they get the bonus ans so I hopefully will get at least what I got last time if not more. Karen, I wasn't here much last week and just read some of your posts. I am sorry you didn't get the raise and bonus that you deserve! I would be upset and depressed too. But, I hope you know that we are here for you, don't feel bad if you need to vent. That's what we are here for! I only hope that I can lend you as much support as you have me over this past year. If you need to take some time, then please do. But, I'll be thinking of you.

kit_kats_mom replied: Karen, I'm going to be totally honest here. You need to find another job when you go on maternity leave. Your bosses actions don't sound like those of a man who is trying to retain you and make you happy. It really sounds to me like he is trying to make you so miserable that you quit. He's probably just trying to phase you out so he can put his "girlfriend" in your place.

He sounds like a total twerp and I'm sure that you could find another job. It's got to be hard though. I know you've gone on and on about how great he can be but this is so wrong on so many levels. I"m sorry you have to deal with it.

Come back when you can. We are always here for you. wub.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Karen I'm sorry you are in a rut. I agree with Cary. I think he does these 'great things' every now and again to try to make up for his stupidity and he starts feeling guilty. Try to get a new job. IMO it would be better to do it now.

I hope you feel better soon. I know how it is to go through this. I'm not feeling to great myself, these days. sad.gif
