Good idea or sill idea?

When DH was deployed, DS & I (and DD in utero! lol) had some professional pictures taken to give to him as a homecoming gift. He loved it!

Most places have special gifts that you can order as well... a tie with your pictures on it, mousepad, coffee mugs, a calendar, etc. that make neat gifts. Of course, the photo sounds like a great gift itself. You'll have to share, I can't wait to see the pics!

He doesn't hate pics of us, but I gave him a picture of me recently to put in his office and it's STILL sitting on his nightstand!!! I try and not take it personally because he seriously just hates the "hall of fame" around our house and seriously complains when I magnet them to the fridge. MIL is the same way, so I know where he gets it! I had to beg for a photographer for our wedding!!

So I personally wouldn't waste my money on pics for my DH. Sorry to ramble about myself!

A friend of mine who's DH is a firefighter, had pics taken of her daughter one year with his helmet and some other firman stuff and then bought a really cute frame and planned on giving it to him for Christmas. He found it a week before Christmas though but he still liked it!
