Grocery trips per week - spinoff of Lisa's post

I swear to you, I make one big shopping trip each week and I literally find myself needing to stop off at least a time or two each week besides! I'd say a safe bet to make would be that I'm there on average every other or third day. Why, oh, why can't I just remember things the first time?

Anyone else feel like they live at the grocery?

ashtonsmama replied: We usually have to go once a week for one thing or another...but it doesn't bother me unless it takes up a whole afternoon and nothing else can get done...

luvmykids replied: I usually make a huge trip to Sam's once a month and then a short weekly trip to the grocery store but lately have been completely disorganized and had to go 2-3 times a week

kit_kats_mom replied: we go to sams once a month, the big grocery run at the beginning of the week and DH takes the girls out every evening to get them out of the house. They usually go to Target and pick up milk or whatever we happen to run out of. So every day or every other day at least.

Boys r us replied: I'm there almost everyday!! It stinks!

holley79 replied: That sounds like me. There was one week that I was in there just about everyday. It stinks.

coasterqueen replied: I do a pretty decent job of only going every 2 weeks. I make a 14 day complete meal list and make sure I have all the ingredients for them. That's what I buy. It has made a world of difference for us.

I have most of the "meal stuff" but it's the milk, bananas, bread and salad stuff that we buy almost daily. I am really picky about eating old food so we just buy enough salad for two days, bread for a day or two etc. We also have a pretty small freezer and fridge so we can't stock up on milk and stuff.

kayla's mama replied: I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel as though we live at the grocery store. I try to create a menu for the whole week and then some. We usually go about every 2 weeks to do ur bang up job but since DH works in the grocery business he is always bring home stuff and stuff that we don't need

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I go about twice a week, but don't mind really, unless it's getting too late in the day, Wil is fussy or the store is super busy. I have to write a list or I forget everything!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: We run out of milk just about every other day. Unfortunately the grocery store is one of my favorite places to go. We have an awesome store, though.

Some weeks though I find myself going back a few times to get milk or just something that I really want for dinner that I didnt get on grocery day. I dont mind grocery shopping if its early in the morning and no one is there

Italianhuney replied: I definately live at the grocery store... i shop for my dad.. he needs something every day because he only lets me buy like a small quantity of what he needs... like a couple bananas he'll finish in one day... lol
