I run into Mary all the time and the last time I saw her she said she was no longer keeping Maddie's little friend b/c she needed that time with her own children in the afternoons. I called her anyway to see if she would be available once a week or more/less for me to bring Ethan over during school hours only. (her 2 sons are in high school) Guess what?????
 SHE SAID YES!!!!
She said she was actually looking for someone to keep during the day like that and she would be more than happy to keep Ethan for me. THANK YOU GOD!!!! OMG! She is the NICEST lady...she also has her mother living with her and they both LOVE children. She is so understanding and she's FLEXIBLE!! She said just to call her a couple of days in advance so she could make sure she doesn't have plans. Oh, and she only charges $5 AN HOUR!!!!  Unheard of!!! Especially for a drop in. 
She will be keeping Ethan on Monday. They know each other and they should both be fine. I will be going to a luncheon on Monday with the other kindergarten mommies ALONE!!! NO KIDS!! No whining, crying, fussing, fighting, throwing food, not being able to listen...  PURE BLISS!!!
Anyway, keep us in your thoughts on Monday. I've never left any of my kids with anyone so this will be quite an experience, but MUCH needed for my sanity.  And, like I said, we know her so it won't be a total stranger.
Sorry this got so long. Can you tell I'm ecstatic??
