Actually, it isn't too hard at all..... besides the occasional craving in the beginning (the first few days), it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.

I am noticing many changes.... mostly with taste and smell.
I have always LOVED the smell of scented candles, and I burn them alot... but I can actually smell them now. It's great.

With taste.... yesterday I stopped over at my friends house and she had made a pepperoni pizza and I had a piece.... and it burned my mouth

I don't really cough anymore throughout the day like I did when I smoked or afterwards when my lungs were busy cleaning themselves out.... but in the morning, my throat feels kinda constricted and so I have to cough once to clear it out....

Other than that..... things going great with this not smoking business!

I'm not so sure if it's all willpower. When I found out Ashley had been smoking a little here and there, it scared the hell outta me, KWIM?

I didn't want to be a hypocrite like my parents were..... smoking 2 packs each a day and threatening us I ever smoked..... yeah right... so, of course being a teenager, I went right out and smoked.

So, I think it is a mixture of alot of things... my health, fear, scared of getting lung cancer, not wanting to be a hypocrite, ect.

Besides, a few years ago, I watched both my stepmom and my grandmother die of lung cancer. I watched them go from vivacious (SP?) active women to lying in bed in a coma struggling to take a breath... until they each took their last breath.
