We made it through the flight ok, Ashton slept pretty well, was up every couple hours during the night but only had one really fussy incident, which I think was just ear-related, but he is a pro traveler now! There was a family with an absolutely GORGEOUS 3 month old baby girl sitting across the aisle from us, so we chatted with them and Ashton definitely made friends, they loved looking at each other...
Definite baby love.
I just cannot believe we're finally here! It's been about 4 days now I guess, we arrived on Thursday morning, the 4th, and it's now Sunday, so I guess that's right...the jet lag really hasn't been too horrible, the first couple days we were pretty drained, but we're getting used to the time change now and really enjoying it, I'm the only one who's waking up early though, I keep getting up at 6:30-7 ish and wondering why the heck I'm awake...
We're staying in a little villa-type place until tomorrow, then we're heading back up to Roma for a few days and then to Florence and Venice, I think we're going to do those two cities back to back since they're closer together...
ACK! I'm just so excited to be here! HOLY COW.
I wish you all could be here with me! I'm going to see if this photo will work, we borrowed our friend's digital and it's a little complicated but I'm SO glad we brought it! We haven't taken too many pictures yet, we're still in Gaeta right now, which is basically a resort type town right by the ocean...
Oh it's SO beautiful! I can't get over it. Everyone has been so sweet and helpful, I'm so glad it's been going so smoothly...well I'm off, but I miss you all and will be on when we get back to the states, if I can't get on again here...their Alicce network is kinda screwy on Ryan's laptop, so who knows...
I'll try to get the picture up...
