My2Beauties replied: Oh thanks you guys! We had a wonderful day. Poor Brian had to work 1st shift and 3rd shift that day. He got off in the early afternoon so we had plenty of time to spend together. He got me the most beautiful card and this beautiful plaque with a poem about love on it. Then he said the tradition 1st wedding anniversary gift was paper and the only thing paper he could think of was money - LOL so he gave me some money to go buy whatever I want. I told him I wanted a foot spa but he said that he didn't want to break the tradition so he gave me the money to go get the foot spa I wanted and a little extra. The modern day 1st wedding anniversary gift is a clock, so I bought him a watch. He liked it a lot. It was really nice. I forgot to bring the plaque to work and my card to put up or I would let you guys know what it said. I will post it later once I am in front of the plaque and the card. They were so thoughtful. He wrote in my card that he will always love me now and forever - it was so sweet! We went out to dinner last night at this little Italian restaurant, we sat outside on the riverfront while we ate - it was very romantic. It was a memorable first anniversary - but I forgot to eat a piece of our wedding cake Whoops! My mom had it in her deep freezer since...well our wedding and it didn't smell or look too good I don't really think it matters that we didn't eat a piece of it, it would probably make us sick anyways! LOL!
