HELP - CARLY HAS A RASH!

Carly wet through last night so her skin came in contact with urine but I gave her a bath this morning - the rash isn't dark red, but she has tiny bumps ALL OVER, especially her back. She is acting alright, other than she slept for 3 hours this morning, which is not like her. She usually takes a one hour nap. She also has a runny nose. Do you think I should take her to the ER?!
When I put her in the bath she screamed, which she NEVER does because she loves the bath. Once she got in she was okay and I didn't scrub hard and used Burt's Bees soap and no lotin when she got out. I'm really concerned. She doesn't have a fever or anything and just had a little to eat.
Calimama replied: Did you give her any foods for the first time?
Jamison'smama replied: Kids in general are prone to rashes, I doubt very seriously it something to worry about. My kids were very rashy...is it like a contact rash--maybe a detergent reaction. Has she had a fever in the last 3 or 4 days (roseola)--my kids have both had this?
It may be a reaction to something she ate? Anything new?
Jackie012007 replied: nothing new to eat, and same laundry detergent - we use All free and clear. She ran a low-grade fever yesterday but we attributed it to her teething. She has never had a rash before!
Calimama replied: Did she just get shots?
Jackie012007 replied: nope!
Calimama replied: I would give her benadryl (sp?), make sure she doesn't have problems breathing and wait for the doctor to call. Miabella has super sensitive skin but benadryl usually helps take the rash away.
lisar replied: Same thing with Lexi giver her some benadryl and call the dr again and see what they say
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Poor girl! I don't have any advice - I have no clue what to do for something like that. I hope it goes away soon!
moped replied: Is it a heat rash?
Do you use lotions? It can block the pores from breathing soemtimes and give them a heat rash
Swood75 replied: Hope Carley is better...Did you get a hold of the Dr? If so,what did they say??
sparkys2boys replied: Oh how is she doing now?? Hope it's nothing serious.. kup
Jackie012007 replied: well, we are back from the hospital. Carly's rash got worse and then she vomited, spiked a 102 temp and shortly thereafter, got a gushing nosebleed. The Dr. told me to take her to the er so I did. They took lots of blood for tests, and checked her all over and gave her an IV in her foot to give her fluids because she was dehydrated.
We pretty much waited all day because the hospital was jam packed - as of right now, we have no idea what is wrong with her! She acted a lot better after she got the fluids so they let her come home - she still has a rash but it's not nearly as red and now is only on her back and a little on her chest. It was SO scary - she has an appointment with her doctor tomorrow and we should hopefully get the blood test results.
At first the dr's seemed concerned but as she got better, they seemed happier. They think it could have been an reaction to something, we just have no idea what. She might have gotten into something.
I'm gonna go to bed, I'm exhausted!
